Draped in the Divine Consciousness

Draped in the Divine Consciousness

We are each a phase of our Creator’s consciousness, thus a phase of each others’ consciousness.

Each aspect of “our world” (each living his/her simulated reality of his/her consciousness), every detail, situation, relationship, and personality is being used to create divine love in creation, thus making creation an expression of our Creator, who is love. In other words, our Creator is working through our consciousnesses to create divine love; thus integrate himself as the underling nature and power of Creation.

Divine love consists of many attributes. Some of its most beautifully profound characteristics are those that can not be understood except through the perspective of a perceived separation; divine love is merciful, transformative, unchanging, consistent, unwavering, constant, healing, regenerative, redemptive, uplifting, honoring, gentle, kind, giving, abundant, faithful, nurturing, comforting, unfailing, holy, and humble.

perceived state of separation manifests a lower state of consciousness, which is initially unaware of divine love. This state enables an understanding of these attributes of divine love. Thus, this “lower” consciousness is used by our Creator, thus a phase of his consciousness, to manifest the fullness of divine love in Creation.

Once these qualities of divine love are received into the soul, then the consciousness of separation (which creates a separate “self”) is no longer necessary and can no longer exist.  In the consummation of this love, the soul awakens, as if from a dream, to its oneness with the Creator that has always been. It recognizes the divine consciousness within that has been manifesting itself through the use of the “lower” consciousness by creating an awareness of divine love. As this awareness grows in the soul, the soul methodically begins to express the divine consciousness by reflecting the Divine Self through its individuality. The divine love, now consciously known in the soul, removes all aspects of separation and brings the soul into a conscious state of oneness. In this awareness, the Creator manifests an expressed created form of his uncreated form.

The formation of divine love in creation is the Christ consciousness; a consciousness that manifests divine love and truth in a myriad of expressions. It’s the connection between the created and the uncreated (God’s infinite potential).

We are all a part of the divine consciousness, and always have been as divine love is manifested through our “lower” consciousness. It’s imperfection served to create a perfection beyond perfection or an ever-expansive perfection. Our soul’s journey serves to teach us of the many characteristics of divine love and then to awaken us to what has always been. We awaken as we perceive divine love and as our thoughts are renewed by this love (through the instruction of the Teacher within, prayer, meditation, and other spiritual practices that lift our consciousness into the Christ consciousness), which create this love in our experiential reality. Thus, we transition into a substantive oneness with the Divine Consciousness.

Our concept of a separate self shadows (hides) the open door to the Christ consciousness; the door which resides in the inner chamber of our soul. As we awaken to divine love, our lower self, which is created by the lower consciousness, dissolves to reveal the eternally open door (oneness) to the Christ consciousness. In this awareness, the Divine Self expands. Through the transformation of our mind (as it begins to serve the Divine consciousness), we experience the expression of the Divine Self or oneness. We perceive we are a phase or expression of the Divine Self, an expression of the Christ consciousness where all are united as one. I am a phase of you and you are are phase of me because we are all expressions of the divine consciousness.

In this dissolution of self; separation ends. Our eye becomes singular as his eye. It becomes full of light thus manifests the light.

In every phase of consciousness we experience, our Creator is working to manifest a reflection of himself; divine love. This understanding brings reconciliation, purpose, peace and meaning to all our phases of awareness.

“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” Phil 2:13

The more we perceive of truth the more beautiful it becomes to us (one way we know we are aligning to truth). I see this expanding beauty in all that I’m perceiving and it drapes me in garments of praise. How grateful I am for the teachings of the Teacher within.

Standing at the Gates

Standing at the Gates

A new thought, a new reality.
A divine thought, a divine reality.
In the realm of our thoughts lies the power of God.

To enter the Kingdom of Heaven (the divine consciousness), the soul relinquishes control of its reality to the Divine governance and trusts it implicitly, like a child.

In divine gratitude, the soul lets go of all and desires to witness the Creator’s workmanship in every aspect of soul, mind, spirit and body (our body is the reality,”our world”; which we each create through our consciousness). Sinking into this deep trust and letting go of all control thus fear, an eternal light begins to shine within. Subsequently, the mind detaches from the past and future, and rides the moments of the eternal present. In a state of eternal rest, the soul observes the workmanship of the Creator through its own consciousness.

The Creator’s sovereignty, which is grounded in divine love, is my greatest comfort. This sovereignty expresses itself through our consciousness; for ours is a drop of His. It’s through our consciousness of our divine-self that we know Him. It’s through this consciousness that we express Him. What can possibly concern us when we truly believe this is true?

We know our Creator through and by his divine attributes. Thus, these attributes that define his Spirit are my inspiration and the fulfillment of every hope in a perfection of an ever-expanding beauty and abundance. My heart rejoices in his bountiful, endless, and ever-expanding gift of his Spirit that flows through me as I desire to let go of all contrary to it, and desire to give this Spirit abundantly and without hesitation to All. All is You. You are All.

These beautifully rich divine attributes are my soul’s daily meditation until all is revealed as one: I give and receive in endless joy and gratitude of my divine-self (the true part of my likeness that has lived in the shadows of my illusionary false-self that I thought was me), the divine Spirit (the Christ Spirit); a Spirit of infinite strength, power, vitality, divine love, honor, truth, sovereignty, loving kindness, gentleness, wisdom, equanimity, magnanimity, grace (mercy and forgiveness), humility, liberty (carefreeness of spirit), tranquility, present-mindedness (eternal present), oneness,  mindfulness, harmony and abundance. The place of God; the I in me.

This Spirit finds its home among the framework of truth the Spirit of Truth knits into the soul along its soulful journey of enlightenment and awakening. This temple of divine glory produces the Kingdom of Heaven on earth through the thoughts it manifests. The Creator lifts up the soul out of the deep humility he created within it and pours out His divine thoughts. Through this open gate, the Creator’s power is manifested in the soul and in the world.

The Regenerating Life

The Regenerating Life

Out of the depths, the Oneness that always was, encounters the mind of the soul.

Hidden beneath the thick vapor of the self-directed mind, the oneness shared between the soul and its Creator resides as the divine-self. As this Oneness begins to surface in the mind of the soul, the mirage of the false-self begins to fade and the soul awakens to a divinely directed life. As the divine consciousness becomes the soul’s conscience experience, the real that always was manifests.

The Creator expresses himself in Creation through the soul that is formed to be a conduit of his Spirit. Thus, the soul knows and experiences him through its divine-self and the projected reality this self creates. The Creator is the “I” of the soul. There is no separation between the soul’s existence and his eternal life, for without him there is no soul.

Awakening to the Divine-Self Within

As the soul lets go of its self-will, its divine-self rises to the surface from the depths where it remained hidden beneath the drama and noise of the false-self. In this awakening, the soul is renewed bit by bit as it throws off every self-directed thought as untrue. These false thoughts fall away like empty shells as they’ve been stripped of all their power held by belief and emotion. All the elements of the soul’s reality once created by these thoughts; its fabricated personality, contrived appearances, and its reality cloaked with the likeness of decay and death, begin to fade.

Thought is the mental substance of the consciousness. When the soul’s consciousness begins to shift from the self-determined consciousness to the divine, it experiences a change in its thoughts. Slowly the thought matter alters from coming from the former consciousness to coming from the latter.

As the soul begins to awaken to its divine-self, it realizes this self was always its true essence; and the rest was imagination. With this awareness, the soul perceives it’s an extension of the Creator and always has been; any separation was an illusion.

During this transitory period, the soul ceases to focus on outward appearances that were constructed by the false-self, for they are passing away. Instead the soul centers on and operates from the internal divine frameworks of truth that begin to renew its mind with transformative grace, which in time transforms its reality into an expressively divine one.

The Elixir of Regeneration

The energetic substance of the divine-self is divine love. The unconditional and regenerating aspect of this love is grace. As the divine-self and the Creator are totally one; the soul is his expressive medium into creation. Because abundant divine grace is the heart of the Creator, the divine-self desires to extend this grace to all as well. As the soul gives divine grace, it receives it from the Source; like a fountainhead. In this outpouring, the soul’s heart is transformed into an open gate of the Creator’s unconditional love.

Bound to the illusion of the false-self, the soul abided in the ramifications (compensation or judgment) of its erroneous thinking. Grace manifests the right inherent in every wrong, thus judgment (penalty for error) is swallowed up in divine love. As the soul desires to give the substance of grace to all others, it receives grace and this grace transitions every other mental element (the content of its consciousness) into a divine element. Grace covers all and brings the bounty of goodness out of everything. In the face of grace, no error matters because grace is all-consuming. It’s the elixir of healing, renewal and regeneration.

The rising of the divine-self is the rising of the Christ spirit within the soul; a spirit of abundant divine grace. All that will be is present in the now. The Spirit is in the present in all omnipotence, omnipresence and omniscience. It can’t be less than what it is. Thus, the soul awakens to what always was. As the soul gives thus receives grace, it rises to the Christ Spirit within; who was always within its midst.

Absolution

When the soul begins to perceive the Kingdom of God (divine consciousness) within, the soul identifies the absolute sovereignty of the Creator that was, is and always will be. He was always “in charge”, and the self-directed will that he gave the soul to operate in was an offshoot of his own. Thus, all that the soul created through its self-will was within his divine providence.

Everything that occurred during the soul’s journey through the wilderness of the false-self was meaningful and within the governance of the Creator’s perfect orchestration, thus ultimately the Creator’s responsibility. In this profound understanding into the depths of divine love, the soul experiences a complete liberation from the ramifications of all error. The soul fully relinquishes to the Creator all responsibility that it took upon itself which created endless cycles of inferiority, shame, guilt, and fear. At this release, these four core drivers of the false-self are systematically absolved.

A Divine Will

“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.”

John 15:7-9

The will of the Creator that was once hidden beneath the vapor of the self-will rises to the top so that the prayer of the Christ, who is made manifest in the divine-self, is fulfilled; “Thy Kingdom come and Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven”.

Because the Creator’s will sovereignly governs the divine-self, as the divine-self asserts itself over the false-self, so does the Creator’s will over the self-will.

The Creator is beyond the soul and yet fully one with it as the divine-self. The soul is his body so that all he does is done through the soul in thought, belief, word and deed. Thus for grace to flow or any other character of the Creator, it must flow through the soul. This means the soul comes to desire the abundance of his divine attributes and nothing self-contrived.

Thus, the “Kingdom of God” (the divine consciousness) comes through the soul; again in thought, belief, word and deed. Once the soul forsakes the false-self thus all its strength found in its self-will, then the divine-self begins to rise and shine to bring forth the Kingdom.

As the Kingdom comes, the divine will is no longer a passive component but an active one to the consciousness of the soul. In this exchange of will-power, the soul is no longer a slave to the self-will, but free by the governance of the divine will.

In this flip, all is turned upside down and inside out as all is made wholly divine through grace. It’s a rise from weakness to true power. As the soul abides in the divine consciousness, divine truths manifest through the risen divine-self. The beauty and bounty of the divine attributes expressed through those truths bloom up in and around the soul casting a reflection of the Creator’s love. Where the soul came to know its unconquerable weaknesses; with this shift of wills, it operates by the one and true power found in divine love. The soul’s hunger and thirst to perfectly love that caused it to give up all for love is finally fulfilled with each moment growing more and more glorious.

This victory already exists in this present moment; as all was finished from the beginning. As the soul awakens to the truth of this victory (faith) found in the depths of its divine self (the manifestation of the internal Christ); the faith begins to manifest the victory through the grace inherent in the Christ.

The Land of Milk and Honey

The Final Four Leading to

The Land of Milk and Honey

One of the first lucid messages I heard from the Spirit of Truth was: life is a game. At the time, I had no idea of the depth of meaning of that statement, but even with a simplistic understanding it was a powerful moment, for everything in my life began to be reframed by this construct.

The game-like nature to this reality doesn’t take the seriousness out of it, but it does put everything in a more accurate perspective. Through my years of seeking for absolute truth and divine love, I came to learn that this life is a projection of our soul and its self-determined consciousness, which science has shown to be the case. It’s a simulation, a training ground for our developing soul. It’s an altered state of consciousness (like a dream-state), thus it isn’t real but a fabricated state in order for the soul to learn and grow, which I’ve shared throughout my blog.

The object of the game is to learn from this dream-like state, which is the shadow of death, in order to abide in eternal life. Thus, to wake up or resurrect out of the death state and into life (as revealed in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ). It’s to learn from the shadow state of the self and its life, and then end the potentials of death we experienced in all its many manifestations. In other words, it’s designed to manifest a sublime oneness with the Spirit of God, thus his divine consciousness, which is life.

The Final Four

This past week, I entered a new depth of clarity in my soul journey. The words may not be new as to what I experienced, but the depth was. Everything that I had judged in my life as “wrong” was exactly what was needed, thus it was right. My mistakes and errors came out  of divine love because they all led me to divine love. Thus my mistakes were necessary and perfect. Everything brought me to the final four soul qualities that usher in life: divine gratitude, divine desire, divine faith, and divine trust. When each is shaped in the soul by the Spirit of Truth, they produce a magnetic pull into the divine love energy of our Creator. Because we are in a dream state, it isn’t that we possess these qualities, but through the instruction of the Spirit of Truth our intention in each quality is pure, lucid and genuine. All we can have is intention in this dream-state, for without being awake in oneness we can do nothing, we’re asleep. John 15:5

In seeing this perfection in everything (every mistake and error), the soul perceives the sovereignty of God that was working in its life all along. Among the seeming randomness and chaos of life, he was creating the most beautiful harmony. If the soul progresses far enough down the path of enlightenment, this awareness is gained. As the soul draws near to the light; it perceives things as they truly are. In this light, all mistakes and errors are perfection creating a perfection beyond perfection. Perfection beyond perfection is an eternal state of growing and expanding while in the harmony of truth and divine love (symbolized as “the land of milk and honey”). Without the soul journey of mistakes, divine love wouldn’t exist in the soul. The mistakes create and manifest the fullness of divine love in all its beauty. However, to remain in this suffering state isn’t our eternal state, for it’s of the unreal simulated state. Thus, it ends.

Peace Surpassing Understanding

This awareness of the workings of perfection among imperfection creates a peace that surpasses all understanding. Phil 4:6-7 Peace doesn’t exist in imperfection. Imperfection causes fear, pain, suffering, and heartache and all the soul states that steal peace. Yet, in this depth of trust in this perfection, a peace comes to reside in the soul in spite of the imperfections. It’s a peace in the face of whatever happens; because the soul knows whatever is happening is what is suppose to occur for the glorious manifestation of oneness. It doesn’t mean the soul is in truth, but everything that it does and all that happens to it is to craft the soul into the truth of divine love.

This understanding shepherds in the transition of the soul’s trust becoming a child-like trust. It flips the soul’s reality from darkness to light by switching on the light (truth) within the soul’s perception. What was once judged by the soul as wrong or bad in the darkness, from light’s perspective the soul perceives as purposeful and serving the highest good. This new perspective frees the soul from the prison bars of inferiority, fear, shame and guilt that its ill judgments manifested. Instead of these four core destroyers, divine gratitude, desire, faith and trust fill this space in the soul, which begins to transform the soul into life.

Through this heightened awareness, the soul becomes aware of the following four constructs: 1. It becomes divinely grateful for every error and mistake. In the sovereignty of God, the errors were used to unite the soul to him in a bond of divine love. 2. The imperfections created a consuming divine desire for his divine consciousness and nothing of the self-determined consciousness. 3. Through the lessons learned, the soul received a divine faith built and established by the Spirit of Truth. A faith vast and dense enough for the soul to solely stand upon and let go of all counter to it. 4. The imperfections propelled a divine trust, by which the soul can release all control (the strength of the self-will) and be governed by the divine will. These four qualities of soul are part of the soul’s condition prior to transitioning into life. They create the necessary energetic field that raises the soul’s vibration to embrace the divine energy of the Creator.

Severing the Chord

What keeps this self-determination active is the self-will’s generation of control. The opposite of this energetic force is divine trust. You feel the strength of the self-will when things don’t go your way, or when they don’t go as you expect. You feel it when they do. You feel it when you try to control others or yourself. You feel it when you feel controlled by another, for when you try to control then you are controlled. As within so is without. When the soul intentionally trusts, it forfeits the self-will (thus control) and embraces the divine will. This energetic exchange is the precursor to oneness.

Divine trust is powerful and significant. It’s abiding in the present moment in the spontaneous flow of life. The soul isn’t trying to govern the twists and turns, but instead flows through the present moments with a child-like trust. This trust is the highest honor the soul can give the Creator from within in a finite and limited soul state. Thus why it is so energetically powerful, and why it’s the predecessor to oneness. Divine trust (containing divine honor) enables the energetic divine love exchange between the soul and the Creator, thus establishing a manifested oneness.

As the soul releases all control by the counsel of the Spirit of Truth (the soul is blinded by its self-will thus doesn’t even recognize where or how it’s controlling until the Spirit reveals it), then the soul invites in the Spirit of God to sever the root of the self-determined consciousness and establish the divine consciousness as its new operating system.

Land of Milk and Honey

Through the wilderness of the self-determined consciousness, the soul grows by thorns and biers (mistakes and errors, thus pain and suffering). When the soul unites in a sublime oneness with the Spirit of God (no longer in a dream-like state), the soul still continues to expand or else it couldn’t contain the infinite Spirit of God. In oneness, it grows by comforts and nourishment of the Spirit (milk) and by what the Spirit manifests through the soul (honey).

The former state of growing by hardships was necessary to form oneness, but when it has served it purposes it ends. And, when this state ends, so does death. Game over. We wake up. Arise and Shine.

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
1 Corinthians 15:54

Arise, shine;
For your light has come!
And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
Isaiah 60:1

Mistaken Identity

Mistaken Identity:

The End of Separation

Space

Before I begin, I want to clarify a particular truth because the truths that this post references are very powerful when received into our soul. When we converse with our heavenly Father in a true communion, we encounter him soul to soul, for he is soul and without physical form. In this kind of communion, his soul impresses spiritual truths and his divine love directly onto our soul bypassing our personality housed in this flesh and all its limitations. Thus, we are able to receive deep understandings that surpass a limited human mind and language. Then later we attempt to put words to what we know. Thus, to truly grasp these truths, we must each connect to the Source of us, our Father, and receive them soul-to-soul. If you learn in this way, you know exactly what I mean. Further, you will understand I’m only touching the surface of many more beautiful truths that take our understanding much deeper.

As our soul perceptions awaken to the divine love of our heavenly Father, we accept that his love has always been with us. A separation between him and us never existed, only a perceived separation caused by the process of the formation of our individuality, which was needed for us to be able to receive and give love. As we reflect upon our memories and see them within the framework of his love, we realize he was always there hidden beneath our misunderstandings of who he is and who we are in relation to him.

The action or cause that created our soul into an individual soul expression, making you you and me me, originated with our Father. Thus, he is the first cause of our existence that led to a vast chain of cause and effects bringing us up to this present moment. But as it’s a chain and he the originator, his ultimate effect will be fulfilled, which is our being in a bond of immortal love with him and all of his creation. He is the beginning and the end of us and will fill all in all. His plans never fail, for he is the Creator.

Prior to our existence in this physical form, our soul was without individuality inhabited in the soul of God. He is the Creator of all, thus all originates and comes from him. This is why a longing for a connection to our Creator is so strong among humankind, and we all try in a myriad of ways and expressions to have that connection with him, which is truly beautiful when you think about it and in itself an expression of our individuality.

As we expand in divine love, we realize our connection with our Father was never severed or lost. In the formation of our individuality, thus a uniqueness of our own, we mistook our individuality as separation from Him. In this erroneousness belief, we acted as if we were separate, though it was always and only a perceived separation and not a true reality, but a reality of our crafting. Further, the erroneous teachings throughout history about who we are and who our Father is have kept us blinded to his true nature and thus his deep eternal love for us; a love that not even death can separate us from. True death is the belief in a separation from the love of our Father, yet that belief is only an illusion, for his love never fails. This is why death can be overcome and defeated; it’s not real.

Divine love never forsakes, never fails. It’s constant and immutable. It doesn’t wax and wane. It simply is. We took what we didn’t understand and made it into something it wasn’t – our individuality formation as a separation from our Father. Our forming individuality that occurs in this earth life and beyond is a required component for us to be able to truly love, for love is always voluntary.

Encapsulated in the reality of this physical environment, our souls are able to have a free will, thus individualization, that doesn’t disrupt all of the spiritual realms. It’s here that we grow like an embryo being fashioned in the enclosed watery darkness of the womb. Since love is completely voluntary, we started the beginning of our individualization with a point of “non-existence” in that we have no prior memory of being a part of God. Without individualization, we didn’t have the facilities of memory to contain that truth. This is how we were able to believe in a separation though one didn’t exist. And the belief in separation led to acting in error because of the inherent fear in separation, and so the cycle begins; a cycle that only an acceptance of divine love can deliver us from. Christ Jesus came to break this cycle, for he knows the perfection of divine love.

If humankind understood the purpose and nature of this existence, we would cease to spread our lack of awareness and perpetuate this perceived separation throughout the generations. But this seemingly erratic chain of events is purposefully worked into the design of our Creator. The original cause of us all comes from our heavenly Father, thus his intended effect will manifest, for his love never fails.

Free will gives us the ability to choose. Choice is what creates our uniqueness, thus individuality, thus our ability to know and give love. However, as we developed in our individuality through our free will choices and unique experiences, and believed in this perceived separation, we created all kinds of havoc; lies, fears, unworthiness, ugliness, and so on all manifesting from perceived separation. We weren’t aware of our true Source and the purpose of our physical reality – to shape our individuality through free-will and choice so that we could abide for eternity in a bond of true love. But our Father in his amazing faithfulness and perfection of original causality takes all our mishaps and creates something beautiful from them by a restructuring of our memories.

In a perceived separation and the following creation of temporary error, disharmony and harm that came from our free-will, we judged ourselves unworthy, unlovable and rejected by our heavenly Father. This was our judgment of ourselves in our lack of understanding of his love for us, a love we only realize when we accept that his love is here and always has been for each one of us. And when we extend our soul to that love by finding harmony with the truths of our Father, we realize separation was only an illusion of a developing personality.

It’s our memories fashioned in lies, which we held as true, that bind us to a perceived separation, for in this belief, we create the ramification of this belief (fear, pain, ugliness, rejection, lack of love) that strengths that belief. But as divine love fills our soul it dissolves all these effects, and emanates a light of truth instead of the darkness of separation, and our memories are cleansed. Our Father reshapes our understandings so that the hurts of the past that came from our perceived separation are dissolved. All that lingers is the beauty that came from them; understanding, compassion, humility, harmony with his will, and above all a knowing and abiding in his love, for now we are able to love.

Divine love gives us the knowing that we are and always have been our Father’s beloved child and that everyone is. But in creating the beauty of a sincere and true love, we needed our own individuality, thus, our journey into soul development, which began at our physical birth, and will continue to expand into eternity.

May we all realize we are and always have been adored children of our Father and know our true identity. In this knowing, we enter deeper into his love that is always there for us, and that love makes everything beautiful in its time.

Follow Your Desires

Follow Your Desires

Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

When we abandon our self-will and desire God to govern all that we are, He takes over and transitions us into an eternal creation filled and governed by Him. This magnificant new life is one of rest as God does all things in and through us. It is full of power because God is orchestrating and performing all things for us. Psalm 57:2 When He takes over His desires become our desires, thus we live by following our desires. Here I talk in more detail about this blessed gift and life.

The Ultimate Choice: Choose Life

The Ultimate Choice: Choose Life

Would you rather be operating by God’s mind or by your own? God is giving you the choice.

The Choice

Deuteronomy 30:19 “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;

The pilgrimage through this earth comes down to a singular decision. Will you choose to be TOTALLY governed by God or self? What you choose depends on the life you will have; the first manifests true life and the second death. It’s one or the other because God is life and anything contrary is death. Most people unknowingly choose death because of the lie that has kept people from God; that life fully governed by God is less than what they can give themselves. When in reality, the only things you miss out on are the things of death.

The life we desire; peace, joy, righteous love, truth, rest, contentment, and blessing, comes when our souls are united to God’s Spirit so that His spirit operates our being in every way. This life is manifested when our self-will is literally dead, silenced, and God’s Spirit takes the reigns. Galatians 2:20

The ultimate blessing is to be completely directed by God so that our every desire, thought and word is of Him, by Him and through Him; a place where we are fully governed by the Spirit of God and nothing of our self-will. Lamentations 3:24 In this state abundant life is manifested in us and in our lives.

Isaiah 58:13 If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, From doing your pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the LORD honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking your own words,

The eternal Sabbath is being at complete rest, so that you are totally powered by God’s spirit. When you are governed by Him, you are at rest because it’s all Him and nothing of you. John 15:5  In rest, you do nothing of yourself. You give up all your ways, pleasures and words to God and He drives your life. If you aren’t working, efforting, striving or exerting your will, then His will can prevail. You cultivate no trust or confidence in anything of this flesh existence. The exterior life is nothing but the shell that is powered by God. In this state, you are a complete slave to God and His righteousness and know no other greater delight, for He is life. Acts 17:28

Romans 6:18   And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

Imagine if ALL you did was directed by God who knows everything … the outcome and ripple effect of every action?  All you do would be done in truth and righteous love. Imagine how your life would blossom into all it was meant to be. This is what Christ came to create, God’s spirit abiding within souls of mankind, Immanuel.

How to silence your self-will?

What is the path to make this choice; to be completely governed by God?

  1. SEEK God in TRUTH and SPIRIT. You need to know the difference of your self-will and God’s will and the extent of its control in your life. If you don’t seek truth FROM GOD, you can’t make this decision because you don’t have the knowledge of what the decision entails. You can’t choose what you don’t know. How can you know without diligently seeking daily and above all else?

Jeremiah 7:13 And now, because you have done all these works,” says the LORD, “and I spoke to you, rising up early and speaking, but you did not hear, and I called you, but you did not answer

  1. BUILD a relationship with God so you can TRUST Him. To honestly let go of all, you have to trust God and nothing of yourself. How can you trust without an intimate relationship?
  2. ACT on His instruction specifically to you. As you act according to God’s counsel and witness His faithfulness, you come to a point of forsaking all to be completely governed by Him – then the choice is the result. How can you act if you aren’t listening to Him?

In our limited awareness, we have no idea the outcome of what we do. If we hold onto our own judgments about what is good (essence of religions), we’ll make errors (sin) leading to pain and suffering in our lives and others. No matter how good our intentions, we don’t know the beginning and the end. Thus, anything done of ourselves, no matter if we judge it good or not, is sin. Sin equates to death. Therefore, we need to be at rest and letting God flow through us as He wills which is accomplished by forsaking every aspect of our self-will and letting His will rule. John 5:30

Seeking God and His truth with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, abiding in rest, and experiencing the fruit of His Spirit testify that we have chosen His will over ours; a life we can start experiencing now. When we come to this point, we are ruled by God’s Spirit thus walk in His commandments, because He is living through us and His righteousness taking us over.

Discipleship Of Christ

Discipleship Of Christ

Our beliefs determine everything. When our beliefs are transformed and remolded, we change. Our beliefs change when we deeply learn something new. It’s a depth of learning that reshapes our souls and thus our lives. This remolding is what God calls us to in seeking His truth, and not a head knowledge that affects little. When I speak of learning in this post, I’m speaking of a depth of learning that is really a remolding that makes us into new creations.

Galatians 1:11-12 But I make known to you, brethren that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. 12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ.

From God, we learn the deep truths of God that transform us. He is our Creator; He does the remolding. I didn’t experience transformable learning by hearing others talk about God. Others can point to the way to truth. They can talk of the truths of God, but the depth of knowing of those truths as we are intended to know them, can only come by being taught by the Holy Spirit. This transformable learning is why we were given the Holy Spirit.

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

Each one of God’s children is called to be a disciple of Christ, not others. Matthew 28:19 Jesus Christ is the Word of God. Thus, we each are to individually abide in the Word of God, the Bible, seeking the instruction of the Holy Spirit. Likewise, we are to support others in becoming disciples of Christ, not others.

Matthew 23:8, 10 But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. 10 And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ

In the verse above the titles teacher and Rabbi denote authority and supremacy in the area of instruction. The Rabbi held an honorable place in the synagogue as he was seen as the expert in spiritual matters. When Jesus came He took the place of the teachers who held that authority as noted in the verse. Christ alone became The Teacher having preeminence in instruction about Him and His kingdom. Jesus came and made everything personal including instruction.

Yet, Paul tells us that God appoints teachers for the body of Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:28) However, this role doesn’t contain the authority of what Jesus spoke about in Matthew 23. If so the verses would be contradictory. Teachers among the brethren are simply that, our brethren. All they say is secondary and points to our Teacher’s words. Effective teachers help others discover the truth, for that is all they can really do. For a healthy family, our Father, God, should hold the role as the utmost Teacher in each one of our lives. This means we spend time daily talking and listening to HIM, not others, through His Word and prayer. It’s critical for the strength of His body, the true church, that each one of us builds our foundations on Him and not each other. This is also the only way we can test all spirits as we are instructed to. 1 John 4:1

What are the Roles of Others’ Words in our Lives?

Confirm what God has taught us.
Exhort to obey and seek God’s truth.
Support us in learning from God and trusting in Him, which is faith.
Encourage us in our relationship with God.
Clarify and enhance our learning from God.

These are the purposes for which I write. It isn’t to teach as we think of teaching. I don’t believe we can truly teach each other to the extent that brings true transformation. God is God. We are not. He is the one who works in us according to His good pleasure and will, not us. Phil 2:13 Thus, the role of a human teacher is to guide and point to the Teacher. They are facilitators, and not to take the place of the Holy Spirit in one’s life. Yet, this is what you see happening far too often.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

I’ve been sitting at the feet of Christ, and not others, for 10 years. For the years before compared to the years after – there is no comparison. It was like I learned nothing before by relying on the instruction of others.  Initially, it took getting used to as it was quite the paradigm shift, because it’s ingrained in us that we learn from other humans. We are still learning from another, but it’s God. Learning from God Himself has been the reason for transformation in my life. The remolding has been extensive. What I’ve gained has far exceeded my expectations. It’s the type of learning that reaches to your very depths and brings powerful change in every dimension of your being. It’s about having the right balance of God first, then others in our lives.

Here is a critical truth most overlook; those taught by God are the ones who truly come to Christ, the truth. John 6:45 People can say Christ is their Lord, but only those taught by God truly come to Him. When they do, their lives testify to His presence. These abide in it the Word and live it. They become the bride God calls them to be. They have the mind of Christ. Christ’s spirit dwells within them. Their lives have power. They are freed from sin. They experience all things becoming new. These are the ones who have diligently sat at Christ’s feet as His disciples.

Few walk this path because it’s an individual commitment and pursuit, but for those who do they are the ones who become united to God in truth and spirit. Matthew 7:14, Matthew 22:14 Be aware of at whose feet you are sitting; your spiritual life depends on it. Put the crutches aside and abide in the pure Word of God seeking to be taught by Him. Be patient and in time your life will begin to bloom.
