Governance by Fear vs. Love

Governance by Fear vs. Love

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

Immanuel came to give us of His spirit, a part of the Heavenly Father, to regenerate our minds, hearts, souls, spirits, and flesh in divine love. In this transformation, leading to new creations fashioned in His likeness, the Father’s spirit through love, not of fear, governs us.

Born into Fear

In being disconnected from the ways of divine love, fear has ruled us from our birth. We are taught at a very young age to act or not act in certain ways by fear; fear of punishment, being yelled at, spanked, intimidated, threatened, ignored, rejected, or neglected. We are taught to obey through fear by our families, employers, teachers, officials, spouses, religion, and other relationships.

Further, from our beginning, people treat us in non-loving ways; ways that induce harm thus fear; criticism, judgment, harsh treatment, oppression, abuse and so on. And how thankful we are for the kindness received amongst these. However, we spend the rest of our lives trying to avoid those treatments, thus living by fear. It directs our thoughts, words, actions, behaviors and choices.

Governance of Fear

Governance by fear creates a plethora of problems. Here are three. First, those being governed can never draw close to someone who uses authority by fear, which creates a ubiquitous fear in their lives. Fear creates distance, not closeness. It causes us to want to run from and not draw near to others. If someone desires love from us, presiding over us by fear doesn’t work. We can’t have a relationship of love on a foundation of fear. Fear divides.

Second, if the authoritative party desires love from us, a rule of fear doesn’t allow those following to truly act in love. If we are governed by fear, we make decisions to avoid the fear (criticism, judgment, punishment), thus we aren’t making decisions out of love. We may be more obedient to defined rules, but that doesn’t create new and abundant loving results, only self-preservation. A mindset of fear verses love creates two very different outcomes. A fear-based rule can’t create a love-based reality.

Third, fear gives birth to lies, deception, and hiding ourselves from others, because we fear the consequences. It’s very hard to be totally open and honest under a rule of fear. We want to cover-up our mistakes and that makes it hard to grow and learn from them. For the one to teach us the right way is the one we are trying to hide our mistakes from. Further, we can’t bear the disapproval housed in fear, so we hide ourselves as much as possible. Thus it makes it difficult to deal with our weaknesses and brokenness for our anxiety of those areas being exposed keeps them hidden and unhealed.

Being established on this framework, our fears dictate most of our actions to some degree. In fear of disapproval, being left out, made fun of, forgotten, unloved, and disrespected, we act very differently than if we didn’t fear these things. We all go great lengths to avoid our fears. We haven gotten so use to responding based on our fears we don’t recognize it. It is an undercurrent of our lives to such an extent that it shapes our personality.

A Change of Governance

A ruler of any type of authority can govern by fear or love. Obviously love is far superior for it manifests actions from the followers out of love and not fear, which produce far superior results. However, those under love’s reign have to understand and know love. Without understanding it, they can’t be governed by it. If there is a treasure chest in front of you, but you are blind and can’t see it, you won’t grab a hold of it. Fears are immensely prevalent, seen and known, and divine love is not, so people remain in their fears.

Because fear has been our foundation from our birth, we have to push through fear to seek to learn and know divine love. (Divine love is far different than the love we learn from the world, which is peppered with fears.) The path of understanding divine love isn’t an easy transition for fears go very deep into our subconscious, and are tied to lies and harmful experiences. But this is part of the renewal of our minds by the Spirit of Truth who sets us free so we can be a creation governed by love.

Freed from Fear

Once we intimately know divine love so that we begin to give and receive it, it starts to replace fear in our lives. Through this growing awareness of what is of love and what isn’t we start to become free from fear, and start to be governed by love. Fear is based on lies so it can’t stand in the face of truth. Love is truth, thus in knowing it, it prevails against the fears. Truth always defeats the lies for lies aren’t real and truth is.

Divine love is the fulfillment of all our desires. When we start to experience it, we are transformed by it into spirit-minded creations who think and act according to the ways of God. It becomes our sole desire. Thus, one foundation is replaced with another, and we start to walk in the spirit-mind governed by love and no longer the flesh-mind governed by fear.

New Covenant

The new covenant between our Creator, who is love, and us is a governance of love. Love is the supreme mindset of a creation. It’s one in which the creation will do amazing acts of goodness for others. It’s one in which the creation can always grow and expand into eternal life. It’s one in which the creation desires to become so deeply connected to it’s Creator because it’s drawn into the source of love.

Love seems weak and fear strong only because people have not known divine love. Fear has been the ruling entity in this world. Yet, love is far stronger, for once we taste it, all we want is to go deeper and more of it. We will turn from all that is contrary to the point of becoming willfully and fully governed by God Himself. There is nothing more powerful. The heavenly Father’s righteousness reign is one of love. It is in love that He will come to us to make us His dwelling place in the spirit.

May we be spirits who seek to operate by divine love within ourselves and with others. May all of creation be released from its bondage to fear.

Isaiah 14:3 It shall come to pass in the day the Lord gives you rest from your sorrow, and from your fear and the hard bondage in which you were made to serve,

Sensory Perceptions Carnal to Spiritual

Sensory Perceptions:

Carnal to Spiritual

space

As we become lights in this world, a reflection of the divine spirit of the heavenly Father, our sensory perceptions change as part of our transformation. They become transmitters of His light into the world. Where we once were governed by our senses from an “outward > in” point of view, we are now governed by an “inward > out” point of view.

Our senses: seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and touching, work together to formulate our understanding and perspectives. A carnal mind takes in sensations from the world whose interpretation and understanding are derived from the mass consciousness (cumulative thought of mankind). These sensory perceptions inform us of the physical world. By what we see, hear, smell, taste and touch, we determine want we want and desire as translated by the mass consciousness. Thus, they become the drivers to all kinds of desires directed and governed by the wisdom, understanding, and compulsions of the mass consciousness. For example, you see a picture of a juicy hamburger and the mass consciousness translates that as something to be desired (through its communication channels, media, advertising, etc), thus you desire it.

A spirit mind uses these sensory perceptions in a different way. With the spirit mind, God is in control and governing our thoughts and desires (pure consciousness and NOT mass consciousness), including our sensory receptacles. He translates our sensory perceptions from WITHIN by His divine spirit (pure consciousness). He does this by transforming our sensory modalities from mass consciousness derivatives to pure consciousness outputs. It is no longer what is without that determines our actions, but His sprit that is within. For example, He establishes in us a love for all creation, thus we have cruelty free diets. The images/messages of the hamburger have no impact on our desires, only His understanding, wisdom and love.

Acting by this renewed perception creates a radically different reality as it becomes full of actions grounded in God’s wisdom and love. Christ creates our reality, which is now His, by these renewed sensory communicators. It’s through these senses the character of Christ is pushed out from within us into the world around us. Thus, we are creators (givers) of light and life, and no longer consumers of darkness. He is creating our reality from within out, thus crafting our entire reality into His home, His living temple.

When our sensory perceptions come from “within > out”, they are governed by His spirit, thus our perceptions are formulated in true understanding and wisdom. This heightened and purified understanding travelling through our senses infuses our thoughts, words and behaviors with His nature/light. Understanding, truth, and love implode our senses, thus our lives and the lives of others.

There is a lot here and I’ll be doing videos on them later this week … but here is a brief outline of each with an example.

5 Spiritual Senses

  1. Eyes of Understanding: All that we see is filtered by His truth, understanding and perfect love (fire of God). Thus we act by faith, and not by sight. Ex: You see others in a framework of perfect love, as God sees them, and in that new vision you are able to give them perfect love.
  2. Ears of Wisdom: Our ears are attuned to voice of God within us. Through the journey of seeking Him, we’ve learned to hear and follow His voice. As we are fully united to Him, His voice becomes our inner voice.  Thus the wisdom for a given situation comes from within. By this wisdom, we live as a spirit being who acts in harmony with His law of love. As we follow that inner voice, His purposes and will are manifested in the world. Ex: The inner voice gives you counsel on how to respond to a certain situation. You follow and peace is created where peace once wasn’t. This hearing creates an incredible reality reflecting His wisdom.
  3. Smell of discernment:  This sense relays the true nature of something or someone. It picks up the fragrance of life versus the stench of death. It’s like the sense of when something “smells fishy” (suspicious). It gives us an accurate knowing of someone or something, as God desires us to know, that enables us to respond in line with God’s character. For example, your ability to discern between true prophets and false ones, or accurate teachings and deceptions.
  4. Taste of desire: Our taste is what directs our desires. What we have a taste for or not is what we desire or don’t. As our desires are now His, our tastes for things, activities, people, ways, will be His. Ex: We no longer have a taste (desire) for violent movies, or we no longer have a taste for meat.
  5. Touch of healing: Our touch directs how we interact in our physical lives with the world around us. When He governs our touch, every behavior and act is done out of perfect love, truly a healing touch. Ex: Your actions toward your spouse are out of perfect love and nothing else.

As we are united to the divine through Christ, all our senses are regenerated to reflect the wisdom, character, nature, understanding and love of the heavenly Father. It’s Him, in us, pouring Himself into the world though these modalities, thus we are lights to the world, His light.

These transformed sensory communicators allow the spirit of life to shine outward from us, where before in the carnal mind we gathered to ourselves what we wanted from our senses.

The transformations of our senses enable the shining of our lamps. Among others, there are three ways those with these modalities will shine. They will possess:

  1. Greater wisdom, thus becoming smarter as they are operating by the wisdom of God in their circumstances.
  2. Increasing loving kindness pouring forth from an abundance mindset.
  3. Ability to abide in and create peace and harmony.

These are the fruit bearing trees. There is a lot here to consider, may you see the magnificent power, perfection, beauty and love these transformations create within thus without.

Characteristics of the Spirit Mind

Characteristics of the Spirit Mind

The womb of this world is opening and bringing forth the sons of God. Galatians 4:19 They are going through the torn veil and entering into the Holy of Holies to abide in the presence of God and thus for His presence to fill their present. Mark 15:38, John 3:5-6 These symbolic illustrations point to and describe mankind transitioning from the finite flesh mind into the eternal spirit mind. And, what happens as you go through the birth canal leaving the water (womb/earth) and entering into the air (spirit/heaven)? You leave the unreal, death and lies, and enter the real, life and truth. Revelation 4:1

The real has been hidden in the unreal. Revelation 2:17  The real is the present moment, which mankind experiences as a flash because the finite flesh mind abides in the past and the future. Yet the present moment is the only part of our existence that is real. The past only exists as a memory and the future doesn’t exist. So as we are born into the spirit, our minds move into the present and that present expands to become eternity. Abiding in the present is how we dwell within the presence of God because that is where God exists, in the real. When we become present minded within the presence of God, we enter into eternity. When our minds change; we change. This is gaining the mind of Christ. It’s a state of being connected to and governed by the mind of God; thus the will of God. John 12:26, John 5:30, John 8:28. Abiding in the present is the only place we can truly do the Father’s will because there we are completely governed by Him.

This transformation is the work of Christ in us; who is our wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. 1 Corinthians 1:30 It’s the new wine-skins and the new wine. This transformation is becoming as a child to enter into the Kingdom; moving into the present as we abide in absolute trust of our loving heavenly Father. Luke 18:17, Matthew 18:4, Matthew 6:33

Below are some mind-shifts we go through as we transition from a finite flesh mind into an eternal spirit mind. As we shift, we become a light in the darkness as the presence of God becomes our reality in the present. Some of these I’ve discussed in videos; some I have not; but I’m sure I will.  This is an amazing transformation, and above all we have to trust God to direct it and create it perfectly in us. Our part is to listen and follow, starting now. Zech 6:15

The points below lead to living in the present moment and God’s sovereign reign in our minds, thus lives.

  • We DRAW WISDOM from the pure consciousness of God and not from the mass consciousness of mankind. James 3:14-17, John 6:27, 63
  • Our EXPECTATIONS are of the PRESENT moment and are ONLY of the things of the SPIRIT (peace, loving kindness, honor, peace, joy, etc), thus no pre-defined physical images dictated by the mankind’s wisdom. 2 Timothy 2:20-26

(The above discussed in: Reshaping the Mind to Abundant life)

  • We SUBMIT our “FREE-WILL” (not truly free, but our ability to create “desired” images of the future based on our present surroundings and pursue those images) to God and let Him direct our will in everything, as we learn following our will only leads to harm. This submission is the true humility, and fear of God. Luke 9:23-24, Isaiah 57:15, Micah 6:8
  • In the moment, we FOLLOW the PROMPTING that comes to mind (action or words to speak) if it’s best to do it at that time. Otherwise, we recommit the idea/task to God and let Him bring it to mind to do in the future. Psalm 37:5-6, 23 What is best is determined by what aligns to the nature of God (what creates peace, love, kindness, joy, rest). This knowledge of God’s nature is the oil (truth) we need in our lamp (soul) to be lit (connected to Christ). Now you see why; it’s the foundation needed to be able to be present minded. Matthew 25:1-12, John 6:45
    • Thus, planning for the future (lists, goals, etc) is greatly limited; instead we trust God to prompt and direct us daily and keep our expectations of the spirit. Isaiah 55:8-9, Galatians 5:22-23

(The above discussed in: Sabbath Rest and the Eternal Mind)

  • The present creates the future; thus TODAY we ACT on the WISDOM of God that creates peace, love, mercy, joy, honor, etc today. For, tomorrow is created out of today. James 3:18
    • One moment establishes and directs the next, thus we let God establish loving-kindness and peace in this moment by the wisdom He gives us.
  • We FULLY TRUST God to direct our actions/steps each day according to His wisdom. We listen in the awareness of our present and obey. Prov 3:5-6
  • We are AT PEACE and REST as we can abide fully in the present moment without worrying about the next. When we are doing what God directs each moment, we know we are doing the perfect thing at that time; we don’t need to be concerned with doing something else. Isaiah 26:3
  • We trust God with all our SPIRITUAL development; trusting He is working ALL for our good in each moment. Romans 8:28, Psalm 32:10 We listen, learn, and obey His voice more continually in conscious awareness thus moving obedience into our unconscious awareness. And, His mercy covers all as we grow in unity with Him. We trust Him with the increase of our growth; as it’s His work in us. Ephesians 2:10, 1 Corin 3:7 We trust Him to bring to mind the concepts/truths we learn from Him, when we need them. John 14:26
  • By grace, we are PURGED from MINDSETS of HARM that keep us tied to the past, thus to the pit; like blame, personal vengeance, and un-forgiveness. As a child; we lift up those who hurt us to our Father and let Him counsel us and work out the situation for the good of all. Matthew 5:44, Luke 6:35 We follow His instruction and don’t seek personal retribution. Matthew 6:14-15, Romans 12:17-21

(The above discussed in: Letting Go of the Pit )

  • We FOLLOW our NATURAL RHYTHM, thus not hurried/rushed or slowing down (procrastination, etc). Thus, God directs the happenings of our lives; while we let go of trying to control how the future occurs. Jeremiah 8:6
  • Once we commit all our desires to God, God directs us by our desires. Thus, we DO WHAT WE DESIRE, not what we don’t, this is a significant part of loving without hypocrisy. Psalm 37:4-5
  • We SEE ourselves, others, and God in the PUREST of LOVE for we are “seeing” from within the presence of God, who is love. In this “sight”; pure love is sown and grown in the earth. This love entails all the characteristics of God; honor, truth, purity, righteousness, mercy, justice, peace, etc. Thus, all our actions and words are of the intent of the purest of love. 1 John 4:16

We are like trees; we grow. The Kingdom of Heaven is like a tree that grows. Matthew 13:31-32 This transition is a process. Trust your heavenly Father to birth you into His Kingdom perfectly. It’s He who establishes your faith as He assembles the truth, His mind, in you. When God creates your reality, your present, then you are a son of God. Romans 8:19, Romans 8:14
