Love of the Heavenly Realm

Love of the Heavenly Realm

Space

The heavenly Father has been greatly misunderstood by the flesh mind; a mind whose perspective sees only in and through death.  Romans 8:6

To know this Magnificent Spirit requires that we seek to listen, learn and engage spirit to spirit; a communion within our souls extending beyond the flesh mind, thus beyond death. The uppermost place we can enter into from our current state is the deepest place within us. Deep within us is the part of us that connects us to the Creator. In there lies the seed of the potential of His perfection in us that has been hidden, buried, and covered in corruption.  It’s a place of communion beyond the flesh exteriors of limitation.

To truly know Him, thus for an authentic union to form between us and Him, we have to desire to become as He is; pure truth and love. 1 Peter 1:15, Ephesians 1:4 He is perfect. We are the ones to be altered. This means a willing undertaking of a great purification of our souls by His Spirit of Truth working in us. This process recreates, alters and eventually transforms us and our reality to reflect His glory; His eternal love. Proverbs 4:18

The one element we require to enter into this process that purifies us is the compelling Desire to know the perfect love and truth and the harmony they create. Matthew 5:9, Psalm 37:4 To desire to know and BE perfect love is the greatest gift, honor, and worship we can give the Spirit of perfect love. It’s a desire we can’t fulfill without a union to Him; and it’s His desire to create this union in us; for love desires to give love.

The Father is eternal. There is no end to learning of Him. The moment we construct a “religion” around Him we’ve ceased to come to Him as He is; infinite. Religious undertakings can serve as stepping stones we encounter along the way, but to remain confined in and by them (which by their very design they confine the mind) is to cease to seek thus find the eternal supreme divine nature of the Creator. When we diligently seek to know Him as He is without man-made boundaries, we find a growing awareness of His true nature extending beyond all images and anything physical. He is above creation, yet reflected in it as He is the Creator. To know Him we must be willing to go beyond creation; yet learn from creation in whatever manner He chooses to teach us. Psalm 25:12, Psalm 32:8

Our seeking journey entails exploring our existence in order to come to an understanding, as much as we are able, of the character of the heavenly Father, and in this awareness we become a part of Him. I call Him my heavenly Father because one central way I know Him is as my perfect parent; the summation of a Father and Mother; His perfect care, provision, protection, counsel, deliverance, correction, wisdom, longsuffering, mercy, compassion and love are evident in my life. I long for my life to reflect all He is; as a young child longs to be like her loving father and mother. A Father’s/Mother’s love is a complex and beautiful love entailing many lessons in the nature of love. Calling Him Father reflects these characteristics I’ve learned from Him about Him. Yet in calling Him my Father, I know He is far beyond my understanding. I continue to seek Him as I embrace Him as He has revealed Himself to me up to this moment.  Above all, I’ve found seeking Him becomes an experience of increasing love in my life, thus it becomes an all consuming, exhilarating, and priceless experience and pursuit.

In learning of the perfection of His love, I’m enabled to fully trust Him. As I do, I am entering into a state of complete rest. The rest is beyond and above this physical plane; yet significantly reflected in it. Trusting Him means I’m living this life His way, not mine. In the wisdom of His ways rest is manifested.  His wisdom in my life creates smooth paths, decisions that create peace, loving kindness, and living in harmony with spiritual and physical laws of His design. When His footsteps become ours, we rest because anxieties created from corruption have been removed. Psalm 85:13 For example, men find enduring and true success born out of loving kindness of the Father’s wisdom that creates a place of His governance and presence. Women, in the same loving kindness, find true beauty undefined and undefiled by the world that is expressed in a multitude of glorious ways.

When we seek to know His divine truth and love; we learn of all His nature for the union of these two is the consummation of all the others; holiness, righteousness, mercy, long suffering, compassionate, just, all knowing, eternal and so on. Thus, above all we must desire and seek to know is His eternal love. 1 Corinthians 13:13

The heavenly Father is a supreme divine perfect eternal spirit. He is the consummation of perfect truth and love and all the characteristics contained in them. We will be forever learning of this transcendent and glorious Spirit and moving deeper into Him for eternity. Love will grow for eternity within us, thus outside of us, as we grow in understanding. Though we will love perfectly because He is a part of us, our understanding and experience of love will continue to enhance and expand forever.

Transformed by the Words of God

Transformed by the Words of God

It’s not hearing words from another about God that changes us (opens our eyes, changes our desires, renews our mind), it’s hearing the words God speaks directly to our souls through whatever medium. Romans 10:15-17, John 6:45, 1 Thessalonians 4:9

God can speak to our soul through another; but any truth received is all His doing within us. Thus, it’s His voice we must seek to know and hear within us; for that is where He meets us. Others can point the way, share what they’ve learned and experienced, but we each must seek to hear the sweet whisperings of our heavenly Father to us personally. Hebrews 8:10

John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

How do we hear His voice so His truth becomes ours? Through the circumstances in our lives; for His truth is real and directly impacts our reality.

By taking time each morning to be still and listen in a private communion with God is how we hear His counsel. How do we know unless we take time to listen? How to listen unless we quiet our soul and tune into His voice, which is often crowded out by all the noise of life?

What we seek is to hear thus know is His love and His nature that makes up His love. We seek is to hear His instruction regarding the workings of our soul, and how our soul is interacting with the world around us. As we hear His counsel, we follow. His words are the words of life; if we will walk in them. They teach us about love, and following them is how we abide in love. John 15:10

Our life reveals our truth. Our words, choices, desires and actions reveal the truths we hold. The universal purpose we all share is to love God and love others as ourselves, thus loving ourselves as well. Mark 12:30-31 It isn’t a selfish love but a holy love that comes from the Father to us; then toward ourselves and out to others. Proverbs 4:23, Luke 6:45

Only God can teach us and change our hearts to be able to truly love in honor and without hypocrisy, for in each of us the dishonor and hypocrisy (trying to appear loving; yet lacking love in our hearts) runs deep. Romans 12:9 Our part is to seek and listen as the situations we face are speaking to us and revealing the issues of our hearts. To seek to “see” our part in creating our irritations, pain, suffering, illnesses, discord, contentions with others, and not focusing on the faults of others, but our own is how we learn to love. When we know love, then we are on the path to becoming a vessel love.

Some quibble over doctrine; but each comes to the understanding of the truth as they listen to God speaking the words they need to hear when they need to hear them. Loving-kindness often gets pushed aside in conflicts over doctrines. Don’t judge or argue over a truth someone holds; for only God can truly write the truth on one’s heart and open up one’s eyes to see His truth. He gives the increase. 1 Corinthians 3:7 Share truth in love, and trust God to put truth deep into a soul; as He does in yours. Know we are all God’s workmanship, and if by some grace we are used in others’  lives for good; it’s all God’s work. Ephesians 2:10 Don’t seek doctrine; but seek pure love that underscores all true doctrine. Then, you will begin to understand doctrine as you should. Romans 12:9-21, 1 Corinthians 13:2 Love is the purpose of the commandments; thus seek this foundation in all you do and learn. 1 Timothy 1:5

Sometimes we try to force truth on another, but this isn’t how truth is manifested in someone’s life. You can see this dynamic is true in your own life. You’ve heard truths in your past, but you weren’t prepared or able to receive them until you learned through your life. The manifestation of truth in our physical lives is how the truth becomes our truth. Be patient with yourself and others on the journey of learning and gaining pure truth in all love.

If you judge and cast judgment, then judgment is what you receive. If mercy is what you give; mercy is what you receive. Matthew 5:7, Romans 2:1 Only God is qualified to judge for only He is truly good and pure. We are to discern truth verses lies among spirits, but leave the judgment of a soul up to God.

Seeking is very important; for it leads us to the light/truth. Seeking moves us toward God’s presence so we can become a part of His presence. As you seek love you will find it’s impossible to love; impossible without God’s spirit in you. But all thanks be to our Father, who gives us His spirit in Christ to do in us the impossible; to love in all purity. And this hope is fulfilled when Christ resurrects us to eternal life.

As you seek and find, desire to be the love you “see”, and desire to be the kindness you desire. For we reap what we sow. In desiring to love, thus desiring to walk in His ways; God gives us the grace to enable to us to grow in love; for this is His will. 2 Corinthians 12:9

The Conclusion of All Things

The Conclusion of All Things

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s ALL.

Easy to say, yet impossible to do on one’s own …

The Search

When you are a seeker of truth, your path leads to love. Love is what you desire to experience, feel and give. Once you taste true love; you long to think, act and live in its purity with every breath for you’ve experienced the perfection, power, and majesty of it. Think of how many songs, shows, books, and poems have been written about love. When you seek Truth, in that Truth you find a love far purer than what you’ve seen or heard of before. As you explore it, you learn its dimensions and that it’s clothed in honor, truth, wisdom, kindness, trustworthiness, the deepest of care, and much more. You begin to understand the depth of 1 Corinthians 13 that testifies to this love.

After many and multiple attempts to live in a state of complete loving-kindness with yourself and others, what you discover is you cannot. As you continue to seek, you learn the reasons why; the lies you hold as truth (faulty perceptions of reality) and your extreme limited understanding. To truly love, thus abide in complete honor and kindness toward yourself and others, is only possible with a thorough perception of truth from every side in every situation. For example, you would have to see with crystal clarity into the soul of another to know what that soul best needs at that moment. You would have to see into their past and their future. The right thoughts, concepts, words and acts would have to come to mind. When you realize you can’t even do this with yourself; how can you do it with another? Your intentions are good; yet you are like one stumbling around in the darkness hurting yourself and others. You simply cannot see as you need to. Romans 7:15-16, Jonah 4:11

A Creator of Love

Once you come to understand the significance of this pure loving-kindness that would make this creation function as it should; then you know it was fashioned in love, thus its Creator is love. This leads you on a journey into seeking this Great Spirit from which love flows. In time, you discover you must surrender your self-will; making decisions of your own mind, and be unified to the Creator’s mind; for this ultimate intelligence knows all and can guide you perfectly. It knows what you cannot on your own. It becomes your eyes to see. It’s the light in the darkness.

Along the way, you gain awareness of your desperate need for this Supreme Mind so that all your thoughts, choices, and actions can be in loving-kindness. You come to understand you require this Spirit to completely govern and rule you, and this is exactly what you want. When you experience the love that is within this Spirit, a love that is truth and wisdom because it knows what’s best in every situation; you learn this is exactly what your journey in this earthen vessel is for; you have to want to be a part of the Spirit of Truth to live in love as you long to do.  Love desires to love.

One with the Creator

The only way to live in complete truth/love is to be a part of The Truth/Love. To live another’s truth, you have to forsake following “your” truth and embrace the other. Because you know that Great Spirit is love, you also know there is a way to abide in perfect love, for that is what love desires. This Great Spirit of Truth/love, the Creator, is love and therefore makes a way for His creation to abide in love.

What follows next is learning how to be united to this Spirit of Truth. To embrace The Truth you have to able to commune with the Spirit of Truth that is beyond, yet in, this creation. You have to learn to communicate spirit to spirit; to “see” and “hear” within the spiritual realm. This Spirit teaches all who come to it, how to become one with it. And when you find this treasure; you forsake all else because you discover this is immortality and abundant life.

From the Beginning Forward

Adam and Eve went their own way and created death that spread to all mankind. Through “birth-pangs”, life coming out of pain, they would learn obedience. However, to be truly obedient in love, they learned they would have to not only commune with their Father, Creator, but be a part of Him. Hebrews 5:6-8 This is the lesson they had to learn so that they could come to their Father in all understanding and give up their self-will for His will to govern them for eternity.  Yes, they would have to willingly and in all understanding give up their self-will forever.

As their offspring, we walk the same path; to learn obedience in love, thus, to come to the same conclusion; we need to be governed by the Spirit of Truth, our Eternal Father. Therefore, we need to be one with Him. John 17:21 This is what The Christ taught, demonstrated, and made possible; being the first among many who would become sons of God. Romans 8:14

All that I described is the true repentance. Now is the time for repentance; to diligently seek to live by the Spirit of Truth, which you can only do if it becomes a part of you. If you never leave your ways, you can never go a new way. Learn to commune with the Spirit of Truth; and everlasting abundant life will follow. The gate has been opened.

Matthew 3:2 “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!

1 Corinthians 14:15 What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.

Lost Art of Reflection

Lost Art of Reflection

Journaling = connecting and listening to your inner life.

In this busy world, who has time to sit down and reflect on life? Most people don’t. We obsess about things (now we were treated, worrying about the future, children, marriages, work and so on) as we busily try to get through the day, but that isn’t reflection. That obsessive mind talk is our soul creating mayhem because we haven’t given it time to truly process what is going on.

This world has moved far from God’s truth. With our self-wills running wild without the truth to guide us, we are creating all kinds of evil, madness, and out of control behaviors. And one is a busyness and lifestyle so consuming that we have no time to engage in the art of reflection; an art that brings harmony, centeredness, and truth to our lives. A life of reflection is a vital aspect of spiritual health.

The art of reflection is taking time to journal. Why journal? Because for most of us when we think without the guidance and focus of a pen or a keyboard our minds wander so that we can’t complete the thought we started with. Writing guides and grounds our thoughts. It puts a thought in a form we can grab a hold of and contemplate. Without the pen, we end up with a mind swarming with broken and uncompleted thoughts. Journaling allows a thorough reflection of what’s going on in our spirits and how the outside world, circumstances and people are affecting us and how we are affecting others. It allows us to process what is going on, to reflect and mediate on it. We start to see ourselves, others and situations from a clearer perspective – and when we dwell in the presence of God we see more inline with the truth. For Christians the act of reflection is extremely powerful because it isn’t just us trying to work out what is happening in our inner world, but we have the spirit of truth, the spirit of God, searching our depths and giving us the ability to see the truth.

In his book, “Ordering your Private world”, Gordon MacDonald realized how journaling helped him to come “to grips with an enormous part of his inner person that he had never been fully honest about.” I found this very true in my own life. There have been numerous times when I have sat down to write in my journal that I gained tremendous insights into myself and my situations. I thought an issue was about one thing and it ended up being about something else. Sometimes it amazes me what is truly going on in my soul, and I often wonder where I would be if I hadn’t taken the time to stop and reflect. I would probably still be trapped in my old ways of thinking and acting in a stupor and that means doing things I wish I hadn’t and creating a life I didn’t want. Once aware of the truth then we can act and respond in a way that fosters truth and life and not lies and death.

Journaling within the presence of God brings truth and thus freedom and true life to our lives. It is a time of quiet and focus which allows us to hear not only ourselves but the spirit of God dwelling in us shedding light, wisdom and truth into our souls.

If you don’t journal or haven’t in a long time, now is the time to start.
