Flying: Faith in Motion

Flying:

Faith in Motion

space

To be a living creature, an eternal spirit being, means the spirit of God within us crafts every moment and every movement. Thus, we live by faith in God alone. Faith is what moves our wings to fly. (my previous posts lay the foundation for this “flying” analogy)

To move, thus fly, in oneness with God, requires a heart fashioned by God. This is the inner work of Christ within our Holy of Holies. This is a heart born out of Truth and Love. Once this heart is fashioned so that we desire to love perfectly, and desire only the ways, wisdom and truths of the Father, then the work of gaining a new mind of spiritual understanding follows. This mind forms by buying and selling the gold refined in fire with Christ; who is the wisdom of God. This is gaining understanding of truth and love regarding the interworking and details of our lives.

Once the heart and mind are established in the truths and love of God, then the faith that holds the power of God is able to go forth from us and into the earth; into our lives and the lives of others. This power going out is how we outwardly reflect God, which is our personality (garments), which is His light reflecting from us. This faith expands until it fills our conscious and unconscious realities.

Faith, the power of God, streaming into the earth begins with a prompting or a desire, to do or say a certain thing. Our words and actions are the channels in which faith moves through. Faith without works is dead because it travels through our works/actions. These promptings come out of the awakened Holy of Holies within us for the heavenly Father speaks to us between the cherubim. (Holy of Holies in You)

Channel of Faith

An example of a channel of faith the heavenly Father has established for faith to flow through in my life, is this blog and my videos. Every time I write or speak, I trust Him that He does it all. I trust He will not only give me the words, but will use them perfectly to each hearer. This faith comes from the circle of trust within the Holy of Holies, and the outer circle of trust that connects the spiritual reality to the physical reality.

Inner Wheel: Circle of Trust with God

I trust the Heavenly Father, and He trusts me because He knows I trust Him. This is the circle of trust created in the Holy of Holies. It’s the inner wheel of the wheels of the living creatures in the book of Ezekiel. Ezekiel 1:21

This circle of trust is built by understanding. It comes from knowing the character of the heavenly Father and how He works.

The heavenly Father governs us from the inside, not the outside. Thus, His reign in our souls comes through understanding. When we understand His character and ways, we trust Him. Trust is the fruit of knowing. And further, we as come to know Him, we desire to be like Him.

In this desire to be like Him, our understanding expands as we obey Christ’s teachings to our spirit. As we follow His teachings, understanding increases because we experience why they are indeed perfect. Obedience to His ways fuels understanding, which fuels our trust in Him, the circle of trust.

When we understand why He wants us to do certain things and not others, we WANT to do them. Understanding creates desire. To live by desire is freedom, joy, rest, and abundance. Therefore, in His love for us, He leads by promptings, understanding and wisdom. This brings us to the outer wheel.

Outer Wheel: Circle of Trust to Outside

Once a circle of trust is established within us. Then God can create a medium for His spirit, power and work to flow into the earth. The dynamic of trust circulating from within and interacting upon the earth creates the outer wheel, just as the outer part of the wheel of a car has contact with the road. This wheel is the dynamic of God’s power moving from the inner wheel and interacting with the physical realm. Thus, this wheel turns by our faith.

Back to my example, this blog/video is a venue in which God’s power/spirit connects to the earth.  It is a medium that my faith in God flows through. Because I write and speak in faith, it infuses God’s power into it. It’s a physical connection to others, which possesses a faith in God, thus it’s the outer wheel by which His spirit moves upon the earth.

The faith or power of God creates results that are far beyond our own abilities, which is a testimony to His work and power. But there is more …

My husband, my confidant in every spiritual understanding, infuses his faith into this wheel as well. He trusts God to govern what I say and to use it as He wills. The faith my husband puts in God in my output enhances the overall faith, thus power, poured into this work. His faith is like a booster shot to my faith. I have trust in my husband’s faith for I know the source; his heart crafted by God, which I see continually. This dynamic of another’s faith complementing ours so that it strengthens ours making it more “full body” is what Paul meant when he said,  “I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,” Colossians 1:24 Through his faith, my husband lays his hands (will) upon me in these “works” and the combination of our faith is far more powerful than mine alone. 1 Timothy 4:14

When every aspect of our lives reflects the inner/outer wheel dynamic, so that we don’t move unless we are moved by God’s spirit, we are eternal spirit creations.

One important checkpoint, when there is a channel for faith to flow through, our perspective of this outgoing power/faith through us is humility. When God’s spirit, thus power, is flowing through us, what we feel is humility. This is what we “see” when we “see” God from the backside as His power is going out of us. This is why Jesus said He was gentle and meek. This humility is a combination of realizing it is all His work and not ours, we are completely dependent upon Him, and we rejoice because of His perfect love and faithfulness toward us.

When we partake of the heavenly Father’s heart, then our trust follows for His love is perfect and He is faithful. This trust is the fuel to moving in faith. Without faith it is impossible to do what God asks, thus impossible to please Him, for all He asks is done only by and in His power and not our own. When we fly, we are at rest, for all is done through God’s power. When our inner wheel and outer wheels are established, there is no limit to what God can do through our little ole’ lives, even to moving mountains.

Power of God’s Spirit Within Us

Power of God’s Spirit Within Us

Theses truths stuck me in a deeper way this past week … AMAZING.

God’s spirit is more powerful than anything in this world. Jesus Christ, full of that Spirit and not rebelling against it with His will, simply touched people and healed incurable diseases. Luke 8:44-46 He walked on water. Matthew 14:26 He fed thousands from one man’s lunch. Matthew 15:33-38 He raised people from the dead. John 11:43-44 This power raised Him from the dead. Matthew 28:6 It’s a Spirit who has complete authority over every spiritual entity. It has power over the spiritual and physical and it dwells within us. This Spirit is the kingdom of God in us, changing us and our lives. This Spirit and the power it holds is what Jesus taught and gave us access to. He set the example of how that Spirit is manifested, by knowing and being in harmony with God’s will.

Jesus reconciling us back to God, made it possible for the Spirit of God to dwell within us as a part of the divine nature 2 Peter 1:4, thus sons and daughters of God. When we have God’s Spirit, we have that same power that worked in Jesus working in us. Matthew 10:7-8 Ephesians 1:19-20. Meditate on that for a minute – it’s an astounding reality.

God’s spirit dwells in us giving life to all that we are. Romans 8:10-11 Nothing in this world is more powerful; illnesses, situations, spiritual enemies, even death. Mark 16:17-18 This Spirit infuses a power far beyond us into every area of our lives – our work/purpose, relationships, bodies, prayers, everything. John 15:7, Phil 4:13, 4:19. It’s this Spirit that manifests the spiritual gifts as God wills. 1 Corinthians 12:11 It’s this Spirit that manifests the fruits of the Spirit. Galatians 5:22

Power comes from Unity

This Spirit is active and thrives in us when there is unity between us and God as Jesus exemplified. Like all relationships, it takes both parties to come into harmony of will for there to be true unity. If you want to marry someone and he/she doesn’t, there won’t be a marriage. God did His part through Jesus’ life reconciling us back to Him that we may become children of God. Our part is to submit our will to God’s will; to abide in Him and all He is creating unity of wills. God gave us our own will. With a will, we can either submit to God or not as He leads us. For there to be unity and have God’s power at work in our lives, our will needs to be in line with His in all we do. We lack power when we lack unity. But unity isn’t simple. It’s a process, a journey of unlearning and learning, trusting, humility, and letting go. Galatians 2:20 Yet, no journey is more important or has more impact to say the least.

How to Gain Unity

Harmony of wills is the result of seeking God with all our heart, soul, and mind while being grounded in His Word. When we seek in this manner, we gain truth that leads to trust and love, both requirements of the unity God desires. Many people try to gain the power of God outside of seeking His will and submitting to it. Pray and pray to no avail, try to be a good person, earn favor with their works, push their will and try to use God’s power to fulfill it, and/or try to mimic God’s power in their lives. Living in His power is a result of coming together as one in truth and love being rightly united to Him. When you have this unity, the flow of His power is the result. It takes time, patience, and persistence – three things difficult to give especially in a world of instant gratification.

Role of Trials/Afflictions

Setting aside the ego-will that is in rebellion to God’s is often the purpose of our trials/afflictions. Trials/afflictions can point to the fact that our will is in control and not unified to God’s will. 1 Peter 1:6-7. Each one of us has different areas where our will is dominating; areas we know and ones we are blinded to. Only God can reveal and work through those areas so we live in His will. If we seek with a love for the truth and not for our own desires, God uses trials open our eyes. The angst is to get our attention; to get us to seek. If we never learn what those trials are there to teach us, then we remain in the dark. As a result, we remain blinded to His will and continue to hinder the power of His Spirit in us. It’s a HUGE cost to pay for our stubbornness and lack of seeking.

Unity only happens if we seek Him in truth (abiding in His Word), commune with the Holy Spirit being taught by Him, and allow that Word to penetrate our lives and change us. As we seek in truth, His Spirit moves closer, our will starts to align to His, and as a result His power starts manifesting in our lives. Amos 5:4 Apart from God we can do nothing. John 15:5. In Him, we are mighty beyond anything in this world as He wills. Our lives were created to be a channel through which God’s power flows according to His will and good pleasure Phil 2:13

Unity with God that brings the power of God to our lives is the outcome of seeking God with a heart to know Him, having a love for the truth, being grounded in His truth, the Bible, and being taught by the Spirit. Seeking Him comes first, and all else follows. Matthew 6:33

Grasping what the indwelling of God’s Spirit means and what is produces, it becomes apparent that following rules alone creates a religion, not a relationship thus false spirituality. Only being unified to God in truth and love creates the unity God desires. Without love, our acts are in vain and gain us nothing. Authentic Christianity entails our will being in unity with God’s in a bond of love and truth so His power flows in and through us so God’s purposes are fulfilled and He is glorified.
