Christ Washing YOUR Feet

Christ Washing YOUR Feet

John 13:5 After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.

When Jesus knew His Hour had come, He kneeled down and humbly washed His disciples’ feet with the towel that was girded around His waist. The disciples didn’t understand … but would. John 13:7 What is the meaning of this beautiful act by the true King of Kings to those who followed Him?

The Foundation

Christ died so that His Spirit of liquid light could consume us, purge all darkness, and transform us into holy eternal creations, thus bringing us into reconciliation/unity with God. At His death, Christ’s eternal spirit penetrated death of the true grave; the spiritual sepulcher of the flesh body that’s cloaked in sin. Romans 8:3 On the last day (the Day of the Lord, the Revelation of Jesus Christ), His Spirit would resurrect in the souls of mankind bringing them into eternal life. In this resurrection, sin, thus death, would be defeated in us forever. John 12:23-25 His Spirit rising in us is the true breath of life, the purest of love and truth, imploding our souls. 2 Peter 1:19 This filling of Him in us is the coming of His righteous kingdom to earth. Luke 17:21 It’s the salvation of our souls from death and all that it produces; pain, suffering, hardship, unkindness, and fear. This is the true salvation. And His hour has come once again, thus the need for Him to wash our feet.

Christ Washing Our Feet

“… and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.”

The girded towel represents truth. Ephesians 6:14 Now that the seed of Christ’s spirit is rising within us, it has to be combined with the truth. When spirit and truth meet within our soul, then new life grows within us. Our souls then become the living stones of the kingdom of God.

The truth flows from this seed, for Christ is the word of God, the truth. He is the blood and the flesh. He is the wine and the bread. All these are symbolic of Him being the spirit and truth that when they come together within one soul produces life.

As Christ spirit rises in us, we perceive it as a cleansed and purified conscience. Hebrews 9:14 When our conscience is pure, then we can discern between holy and profane. We can walk uprightly, thus we can abide in the truth of God and His transcendent all-powerful love. But we have to listen and obey (walk) His inner counsel to us, which we do by His power in us. When we do listen and obey, we walk in paths of righteousness and we become righteous. This obedience is allowing Christ to wash our feet; feet representing the path we walk.

NOT Letting Christ Wash Your Feet

John 13:8 Peter said to Him, “You shall never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”

If we don’t heed our cleansed conscience, then we aren’t having our feet washed. We continue generating unrighteous thoughts, words, and deeds. We continue to propagate the filth of sin not only in us, but also in the lives around us. Instead of fragrant pathways of rest, peace, joy and true love, we step in and spread dung all over the place. Have you ever had poo on your shoe? This is what we are carrying on us and spreading all over when we ignore His counsel; even in the smallest details. 1 Corin 5:6 We leave its residue wherever we go and spread its stench with every step. Jeremiah 8:2

If Christ does not wash our feet, we have no part of Him.

If we are not heeding Christ’s wisdom of truth being spoken to us from within (all in harmony with the Word of Truth as Taught by GOD), then we have no part of Him. Not only do we remain unrighteous, but we dismiss the very purpose in which He came; to be the door and the light by which we walk out of the pit of death and into eternal life. Though that seed is within us, it won’t take root. It won’t grow without following the wisdom of God. The tares of wickedness take over. We remain as we’ve always been, bound in the darkness of sin. In this state, great tribulation awaits as the Truth is coming as a flaming fire to reveal all the works of darkness and destroy all that is not of it.

Letting Christ Wash Your Feet

If we do heed Christ’s still small voice of truth guiding in the paths of true love, for that is what it teaches us to love ourselves, God and others, then we will be changed into eternal creations of the purest of love.

Therefore, if Christ is washing our feet, we are growing in true love every day.  One note, our love has been exceedingly abundantly corrupted by this world. Religion has proliferated hypocritical love, blinding people further to the lack of God’s true love in their lives. This world has amplified lust and judgment that fills people’s conceptions of love. Therefore, this isn’t as easy or straightforward as it may first appear. As we listen to the spirit of wisdom, we’ll find it’s a love far purer and beyond anything we’ve known. To walk in a life of true love, we require His detailed instruction (wisdom) until we become the truth we hear. Therefore, it isn’t following our preconceived notions of love; it’s seeking God’s love by having a constant listening ear and an attentive soul to His ways. Thankfully, it’s God’s will that we have this unity in Him, and His grace is more than sufficient to make us into His vessels of love as we are willing to follow Him.

Signs of True Love

To abide in the love of God is to be totally dependent on the leading and will of God in all areas of your life. It’s to be led by His spirit from within, not by rules from the outside. It’s to have a deep love for yourself, God and others around you so that you love unconsciously. It’s to know the truth for the truth is love. To walk in love is to walk in truth. It’s to trust God above all else, for those who trust Him obey Him, and those who obey Him, love Him. John 14:23

Have you allowed Christ Jesus to wash your feet? Do you daily seek, listen and walk according to His whisperings of wisdom (love) to your heart? Or do you walk according to the dictates of others, religion, the world’s wisdom, and your own imaginations?

There is only one way to be a part of Christ, to let Him wash your feet; to listen to the spirit of wisdom within you and allow His spirit to create your soul in perfect truth and love.

Hearing God’s Voice

Hearing God’s Voice

1 Kings 19:12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice

Isaiah 30:21 Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.

1 Peter 3:21 There is also an antitype which now saves us–baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

John 10:27 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

Hearing the voice of God in your spirit and putting His voice as THE authority is central to following Him into abundant eternal life. Here I talk a bit about how to hear and follow His voice.

The Kingdom Come

The Kingdom Come

You are profoundly loved by God. You are cherished by Him, for you are His creation. He desires for you to know Him, intimately. He is waiting for you to daily come to Him in truth and spirit, which is a teachable heart to know Him as He is beyond the worldly and religious images and for your spirit to be deeply acquainted with His. No person can give you God. You have to find that unity with Him yourself.

Kingdom Being Established

God has been largely misrepresented and misunderstood in this world of lies, but the time is upon us that all will know Him as He is for His Kingdom of Righteous is being established upon this earth. His Kingdom is of righteous love. All who are a part of it are a part of God thus governed by Him and living in and by His righteous love. Where there is righteousness there is no sin, thus no death, thus eternal life. Life is at the door, now is the time to open it. Revelation 3:20 Now is the time for the power of Christ to be revealed in this earth.

When you come to God and begin to learn of Him from Him, you will learn of His love for you. He gives you the desire and power to walk in His ways of righteousness for that is what it means to be a part of Him.  As you spend time each day as you would with a friend over a cup of coffee, your life will begin to manifest His presence. It’s not about religion or religious activities. Knowing God is abiding in your life as you are uniquely created grounded in rest, peace, joy, contentment and righteous love.

Hope Fulfilled

Up to this point in time, people have lived with the hope of this life in the Kingdom of God. The hope in itself is powerful, one to change lives and two because of the Holy Spirit given as a guarantee of the time to come. 2 Corinthians 5:4-5 BUT NOW as God’s power flows to set up His Kingdom in this earth, there will be a significant transformation in people as they are consumed with His righteous love, rest and peace. The transformation comes by grace as we seek His face. God’s grace is being poured out, step into that grace and you will step into His power leading to a new life in His Kingdom.

1 Peter 1:13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

Evidence of the Kingdom: Rest

The evidence of God’s Kingdom manifesting on in this earth is a Holy Sabbath reigning in people’s lives. The Sabbath is a place of eternal rest inside and out because God is living through you. It’s being at rest from all your own efforts (no self-will) as God’s power governs each step. Hebrews 4:10 In rest, you trust in His love in every situation, thus are without fear. 1 John 4:18 In rest, peace is ruling in your heart, because where there is nothing that causes angst there is peace. Colossians 3:15 In rest, His power is manifested. This depth of rest is evidence of His Kingdom; a Kingdom that starts as a mustard seed in this earth and in your heart. Matthew 13: 31-32 The transformation will be a testimony that you are in truth and will compel others to step into God’s grace as well.

As you abide with God, the gospel (truth) of peace will be established within you by His hand. Hebrews 8:10-11 He will write His truths upon your heart, truths about how to live this life that will manifest His presence and thus all that you deeply desire. For it’s God’s will to give you the desires of your heart; desires void of corruption. As this gospel of peace is established in the souls of mankind, His Kingdom will spread to fill this earth purging the darkness of sin and the death it creates.

Luke 12:32 “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Conquering of Death

The world consists of truth and lies. Truth is the thoughts, actions and ways that bring all that is of life (love, joy, peace, rest, satisfaction). Lies are the thoughts, actions and ways that bring all that is of death (pain, suffering, stress, fear, angst, death). At the breath of His mouth, God will set up His Kingdom. Isaiah 11:4, 2 Thessalonians 2:8 His Word of truth will take root in the hearts of mankind as never before, as now is the time for His Kingdom to become a reality and no longer just a hope. As truth starts to spring forth from the fountain of life, it will defeat the lies thus the consequences of them; error/sin leading to death.

Death has been conquered; thus the Father of lies, the source of lies, has been conquered. John 8:44 Now we will see the manifestation of that victory.  As a result, wicked works will be destroyed. Wickedness and evil will implode upon themselves and righteousness will conquer and reign. Proverbs 12:7 Through it all, God’s grace and mercy will abound.

God’s power makes streams in the desert and makes the wilderness bloom. This Kingdom will be established by His power not ours. It will be established by us abiding in rest and God flowing through us. Though some will cling to their ways, the growing rest in the lives of others and the growing angst in their own as the sin implodes upon itself, will lead them to the point of turning to God. 1 Corinthians 3:13 When you see Him (peace, rest, joy, love), it becomes much easier to believe. But blessed are those who believe when they didn’t see. John 20:29

Step into the Kingdom by plugging into the source of life. The gates have been opened for God’s living waters to flood this earth, and they are flowing your way.

Where Do You Worship?

 Where Do You Worship?

As you think about the New Year, setting goals and making resolutions, consider the one act that will affect you and your year more significantly and powerfully than anything else, where you worship.

What’s the temple(s) of your life? What do you give your resources to, energy and time, to cultivate in your life? How do you make your decisions and choices? What do you sacrifice other things and people for, including your sacred time with God each morning? What are your priorities that come above all else? Mark 12:30-31 What/who do you put above God and abiding in His truth? Matthew 6:33 What doctrines and philosophies are you truly serving and worshipping with your thoughts and actions? Write out the answers to these questions and be honest, it will reveal what you truly serve.  True change follows honesty.

Below is just a sampling of the temples we build, sacrifice for and thus worship at … when these are our temples, there is one outcome …

Career achievements

Job Security

Intellectualism

Health

Beauty

Money

Family

Relationships with other gender

Self-empowerment

Control

Victim/Helplessness

Religion/church

Self-righteousness/being right & fair

Pride

Consumed in the darkness of the lies of this world, we build, sacrifice, serve and thus worship at a myriad of temples, like those above, trying to create the rest, fulfillment of hope, purpose, peace and love we desperately long for. Yet, God in His love for us has shown us how to obtain what we truly long for exceeding our expectations. For the life we seek, God instructs us to forsake and destroy all other temples in our lives, and take part in building His temple. Mark 14:58 It’s the temple of truth in our souls in which God’s spirit dwells. Eph 2:19-22 It’s the kingdom of God within us. When this is our temple, then all else in our lives follows as it should and as we deeply desire.

The temple(s) of your choosing will lead to one of two outcomes because there are only two paths in this earth pilgrimage; one of truth and one not, one of life and one not, one of God and one not. If you choose temples like the ones listed above the outcome is of increasing angst, hardship, worry, fear and stress. If you choose to build God’s temple within you, the outcome is growing peace, rest, joy and love.

What are you experiencing, which outcome? The outcome reflects the temple(s) you are currently worshiping at. If it’s the results of angst and fear, are you going to continue to build and worship at the same temples and get the same results?

Not only does only one temple bring the life you truly seek, but there is only one which will stand as all the rest are cast down.

1 Corinthians 3:13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is

In the Day of the Lord, all temples, the work of our hands, will crumble except the One. As the Day of the Lord dawns, now is the time to examine and realign your life to build the everlasting temple, the kingdom of God within you. If the presence of the living God is within you, you need nothing else for His presence manifests every need and desire as it should be.

As you decide your path for this year, meditate on these verses

Psalm 37:5 Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.

Psalm 34:10 The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.

Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

John 6:28-29 Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

Day of the Lord, What to Expect?

Day of the Lord, What to Expect?

In this video I talk about what I feel God has taught me about The Day of the Lord, I go over a chapter in Isaiah and a poem I posted a couple weeks ago. Pray it stimulates some “stirring the deep” for this Day is significant to all of us and is upon us.

The Day of the Lord

The Day of the Lord

1 Corinthians 3:13-14 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.

The Day of the Lord (span of time and testing of Christ; the Word of God, The Day) will reveal each one’s work by fire. Though each one will experience the testing “fire” of this Day, it will turn out very differently depending on what type of “work” each one has engaged in.

The Work

What is the work? It’s what you have built your faith on and trust in. It’s what you’ve established your hope in. We all have faith, it’s a matter of what or whom it’s in. Our actions and decisions show what we truly trust.

The enduring work is establishing a life built on faith on the everlasting God of truth and love. Only God is life and eternal. If our lives are built upon Him and His truths, they will endure. John 6:28-29

The work that doesn’t endure is our faith in anything else of this world; worldly wisdom, our resources, our personal ability and strength, idols of our own making, elements of this physical existence, religious rituals, whatever we are trusting in other than the One true God. Ezekiel 14:4

The “fires” or trials used to test each one’s trust are many and varied. They can take on just about any form. They are what challenge our faith, test the sources of our trust, and push us to the edge of ourselves exposing the truth of our hearts and minds. As the trials come to us to test our faith, our responses will show who or what we honestly trust in, it will reveal the type of work we’ve been engaged in during our lives.

Enduring Work

For those who have cultivated a trust in God and whose work endures, though the fires of testing may look daunting, they will be as a small flickering flame, with no power and easily extinguished.

Their stories will resemble that of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego in Daniel 3. They have built up a faith in God through their life experiences and knowledge. Thus when it comes to the ultimate test, they are able to stand strong and refuse to bow down and serve (look to anything for deliverance but God) any god but the God. Thus the fire will have no power in their lives. They know their God and their actions show their trust in His power.

Daniel 3:27 And the satraps, administrators, governors, and the king’s counselors gathered together, and they saw these men on whose bodies the fire had no power; the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments affected, and the smell of fire was not on them.

These are those who will endure and receive the rewards of those who diligently seek God. Hebrews 11:6. Those who deeply trust God will continue to trust in the midst of the greatest challenges of their faith and will come out unscathed. Though the fires seem to be at their door, God goes before them and completely protects them. These will be kept from experiencing the Great Tribulation in their lives, for the fire has no power. Rev 3:10

How are they able to stand in the midst of the fire? Like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, they have a life of seeking, knowing and cultivating trust in God and are able to stand at the greatest challenges. These were the ones buying the gold refined by fire from Christ. They are His disciples learning His truths directly from Him, and those truths refine their corrupted spirits to be vessels of light to hold the Spirit of God. Rev 3:18

1 Corinthians 13:14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward

Perishing Work

For those who trust in themselves and other idols and whose works are burned, the fires will be daunting. The fire of testing of the Day of the Lord will cause great grief as what they’ve trusted in comes to nothing. Fear will grip them as what they’ve relied on is threatened and consumed. These are the ones who experience the great tribulation. However, though all the elements that led them from the truth will be burned and they will suffer loss, they will be saved through the fire.

1 Corinthians 3:15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

Unlike the ones who bought gold refined from Christ, these did not. They bought their treasures from what isn’t truly life but death, this world’s wisdom and its lies and deception. Rev 13:17 Thus when their faith is tested it reveals their work – building up trust in entities other than God. They lived by their own will, followed what they deemed was good, and didn’t FIRST seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Matthew 6:33

What will your work reveal in the Day of the Lord? What is your hope in … truly?

Revelation 22:12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

Psalm 146:5 Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the LORD his God,

Romans 15:13  Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit

The Day of The Lord, What Will It Be?

The Day of The Lord, What Will It Be?

God has been teaching me about the Day of the Lord. This poem reflects the puzzle pieces He has been putting together for me. I pray the Holy Spirit will use this to confirm what He has been teaching to those who are diligently seeking truth in these days.

The Day of the Lord:
What will it Be?

The Day of the Lord, what will it be?
Perhaps something different for you and me

A fire of testing to reveal our faith
Uncovering all not leaving a trace.

What is the truth we hold?
The seed of our hope will be told.

Was it our strength, idols of our making?
Was it God’s mercy, eternal and everlasting?

As the Day dawns, the fires igniting
The dark grows darker and the light lightening.

For some growing angst, worry, grief, and pain
For others increasing power, rest, joy and gain.

Judgment cast by our own hands
As God lets our choices stand.

A time of trial unlike any on earth
For some a prison, others new birth.

Look to your left, to your right
Is it peace in God or growing fright?

Our God a consuming fire, coming in the clouds
To burn away all that’s haughty and proud.

For some a thief coming unaware
Others a fulfillment of hope prepared.

A shift among the powers of heaven
From evil’s reign to love’s dominion.

Children of light become mighty warriors
Bringing judgment as evil’s plan foils.

For both a sadness in what is lost
When love to save was given without cost.

But love will prevail in the end
Given by our truest Friend.

It’s mercy that’s without end, not suffering
It will cover all our blunderings

To redeem all that was lost
Though there are paths of different costs.

Out of the ashes will arise beauty
Lives transformed by God’s faithful duty.

In this Day, love holds the victory
As God reveals the fullness of the mystery.

What will the Day be for you?
A day of uncovering shame or being gloriously anew?
