Approaching the Altar

I’ve seen the most glorious Light, and it’s the end and the beginning.

As the door of our mind opens, the keys of forgiveness: Truth, the eternal present, the divine Self, and emergence are revealed as the pillars of the living altar of Truth, the Source of divine Love, the life force of creation.

This singular magnificent altar sits at the center of each one of us. As our singular and shared center, it’s where all our individualized expressions are connected as one, thus we are united in ever-present peace, harmony and divine love. It’s where the Spirit of God enters our individualized Self and expresses himSelf as ourSelves. It’s our true center, home and resting place.

As we approach this sacred altar within, its firelight of divine Love consumes us. To have its regenerative effect, it only needs to be seen with our mind’s eye.

Our mind’s eye is the united vision of our mind that is the sum of our beliefs, interpretations, judgments, perceptions, and accepted truth. These modalities are mirrors to the state of our mind. If we are asleep, our mind’s eye perceives according to our erroneous past learning, which is held captive by our memories that shaped these modalities. In the absence of Truth, we see darkness where imagined things can live. Instead of the keys of forgiveness, we perceive their counterparts: past learning, time, false image of our self, and striving. These false four pillars construct an illusionary counterfeit altar which creates a spirit of fear. When our mind’s eye is full of fear, then fear defines and governs what we see and therefore what we serve. Fear even governs our perceptions of love, which keeps the sacred altar of Truth hidden from our sight.

Seeing is creating. What our mind’s eye perceives we project outward, and the reality our physical eye sees reflects this projection back to us. Our physical eyes see what our mind’s eye perceives.

The teachings by the Spirit of Truth on universal forgiveness enable us to see the true and the counterfeit altars within us. As the altar of Truth is revealed beyond the thin haze of our imagined counterfeit, its brilliant Light begins to fill our mind’s eye. All our memories that held us bondage to erroneous past learning and to the fear they created are consumed in the altar’s firelight. Every memory is refashioned and seen as a necessary step that led us to the altar of Truth, where we are freed from the erroneous learning that blinded us to Truth. In this reframing of our memories, they can no longer hold us captive to fear, but now establish a spirit of gratitude so that what we once saw in darkness, we now see in Light. Our true memory of who we are as the divine Self of God returns to us, and the holy purpose of our prodigal journey is served: to bring us to the Light and to this remembrance.

When our true Source is seen, the illusion can no longer remain because its source, the imagined altar of fear, has been replaced by the altar of Truth. Without a source, the creations of the illusion flutter away like burning ash until they are no more, returning to the nothingness from which they came. Our physical eyes begin to perceive a reality that reflects the divine qualities shining through our mind’s eye. Where we saw illusion, we now see the Kingdom of Heaven.

The altar of Truth’s living light is the life force by which all is created and sustained in perfect harmony. It’s the essence of divine love. As our mind’s eye perceives the altar of Truth, we now serve divine love. All fear is past, and only divine love is present.

I sit at the altar of Truth and its glorious Light fills my eyes. From here I see all in Truth, divine love and holiness. It’s the end of the dream and the beginning of eternity.

“The key quaked in my hand
Then melted into my skin
Its power surged down my spine
Then I knew his heart was mine.”

~ The Golden Key

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.”

~ Revelation 21:4-6

Contemplating the oneness of Truth while guided by the Voice of Truth produces the evolution or maturation of the soul, spirit and mind, so reality can begin to reflect Truth's immutable, divine attributes, which manifest the highest good for all. This blog reflects an ever-deepening understanding of the Truth a soul gains as its mind is renewed by Truth's pure Light.

  1. The true alter is within us just as you say for all the outward alter is, is but a symbol of the true alter that is within us. We must bring all things from the representation that is in the natural world to that which is within where the spirit exist in reality, in the true temple. Once we understand this all the natural furniture in the natural tabernacle represents something about our spirit ascent to God. To see this as you describe it brings peace.

  2. The strait and narrow Way” is the altar with in…. its the way of definite, individual, personal instruction in which one performs no act, speaks no word except that directed by the Light, that source of All-knowing Power. It is the path in which one learns to abide in Christ, in His Light, and that Light becomes more and more apparent to, and in, the individual.

That Light of Christ is THE ALTAR WITHIN is truly “The bread of life, which, if a man partakes thereof he will never hunger nor thirst again”.

Within the Light of Christ is the power of contact with all the great store of God’s infinite abundance so one advances to the point where it is no longer necessary to labor for the things that perish, for all these things will be added unto him.in OBEDIENCE TO THE ALTAR WITHIN!…

  3. It is uplifting to see the unison in understanding that Christ is the spiritual temple and all that is within the temple are but parts of the same whole. Christ is all and in all, meaning that not only is He the temple, He is also all things within the temple including the altar. Once this understanding is established, the understanding that as He is, so are we in this world for if Christ is within and we are also the temple of God, it is a temple within a temple….or the church within a church…or a wheel within a wheel.

All of the individual parts of the temple are not separate in nature but are only different “expressions” of the same one spirit. The seven candle sticks are the totality of the light and likeness of Christ, the altar (laver) of incense are the prayers rising up as a sweet smelling savor unto God, as the shew bread is our daily consumption of the likeness of Christ. This is in the holy place, our soul and it is right next to the spirit called the Holy of Holies behind the veil where no sin can exist for it is the place and mind of God. All these things are within us and as all these things are but parts of the same temple body just as we have many bodily members of head, arms and legs, etc., all are but parts of the one same entity.

The altar among other things is our avenue of direct communication with the Father and where is no man between us and the Father..if we are one in Him. It seems that all things, in no matter what is described and explained in the scriptures speaks of one thing and that is the unity and oneness of Christ when revealed in the spirit. When we see this we can also now see all things in all people…alike…each in our own order at His calling. We came from oneness and we will return to oneness after this time of redemption. It is a good plan, although it is hard to see in the natural, however when we see past the symbol we see Him as He is..within..at the altar.

  4. my sister rose and myself and husband amos were born in the mormon church .The Book of Mormon contains the fullnes of the gospel in these latter days – and the Book of Mormon confirms that the Bible is true. Both books are scripture. Also, remember the body of Christ is comprised of many different members: head, hands, feet, etc. The body of Christ is not one isolated person. Ask, seek and knock as to how you can be a part of Christ’s body while continuing to read Annalee Skarin’s books. Approach all these things in prayer, in the name of Jesus Christ, and He will reveal the truth to you.

  5. The Holy Ghost has revealed to me the truth – not flesh and blood. You do not have to believe that the Holy Ghost revealed anything to me, however. It is up to YOU to pray and ask God for yourself. Do not trust in the arm of flesh. Trust the Holy Spirit of Almighty God. ASK, SEEK AND KNOCK!

At the end of her Book, “To God the Glory”, are given three tests in which one can know whether the things she writes of are true or not. First: PRAY and ask the Heavenly Father to reveal the truth by the power of the Holy Ghost! Second: Live the teachings of Christ, and you will KNOW! Third: “Anything that enticeth a man to serve and love God, and to pray, IS OF GOD!”

I confirm that Annalee Skarin’s writings do entice one to pray, to serve God and to love God – throughout – over and over again! Annalee invites YOU to LIVE Christ’s teachings and no longer doubt what our Savior came to teach. His teachings are beautiful! And it was Jesus Christ who commanded us to BE PERFECT EVEN AS OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN IS PERFECT.

  6. The Tree of Life!

It is time, at last, for the great, Sacred Tree of Life to bud, to blossom and to leaf out with the foliage that will be used for the healing of the nations. This tree is beautiful beyond all others. And as it begins to bear its life-giving fruit it will be for the glory of God and for the joy and benefit and happiness of man.

This Tree has been dormant for ages and centuries. And NOW it is again coming into its appointed season of fruitage.

Glory be to God for a day so great!

This precious Tree is the Tree of which Christ declared Himself to be the vine and man the branches. God is the husbandman to prune away undesirable, rejected traits and weaknesses through tests and trials. “We must be tested and tried in all things.” We must prove our worth. We must be able to bring forth the precious, divine fruit, which is within our sacred natures to produce. And the privilege is so breathtaking it is almost overwhelming, when comprehended.

Of all the worlds which God created this one is the most wicked. It is the most rebellious — not the earth, but those who inhabit it. Yet all the other worlds envy us. For this is the school of Gods. Upon this wicked, polluted, beautiful world it is possible to achieve in one sixty-year life span all the testings and trials necessary to prove one’s worth for all eternity. Those who come out of the fires of such testings are great indeed and their glory will be eternal. All the other worlds envy us such an opportunity as is ours. On milder worlds, without the evils and the conflicts and vicissitudes and continual temptations it would take a thousand years to achieve what can be accomplished in one short, lifespan upon this wonderful little world. The very privilege of being permitted to dwell upon this “lone and dreary world” is one of the greatest opportunities that could be granted.

Here upon this earth is the greatest opportunity to serve. Here upon this earth is the greatest opportunity to OVERCOME! Here upon this benighted little world is the greatest opportunity to be PROVED and GLORIFIED.

Each person who permits or develops and brings forth that great Christ Light or the Spirit of Love will be given the glorious life-energy and substance of Christ’s holy essence of perfection and the power to begin to produce the Fruits that will be everlasting. These are the fruits of sharing, in which each man assumes, to a certain degree, the privilege of becoming “his brother’s keeper,” which law was rejected by Cain and all the ungodly since that period of time. To be one’s brother’s keeper does not mean that one’s brother or neighbor is to be coddled or waited upon. It does mean, however, that we love our brother as we love ourselves — that we guard his interests as we guard our own. In this love it would be impossible to cheat anyone. We would be willing to protect our neighbor’s life with our own life, if necessary. And there is no greater love than this. And this is the Fruit of the Tree of Life!

  7. “They search the scripture, because in them they think they have eternal life. And they are they which testify of me, why don’t you come to me that you might have ETERNAL LIFE.” (see John 5:39-40) This gift of eternal life is not in the scriptures. It is in the contact of Jesus Christ in person. Only through that contact with God and Christ can one possibly be taught of God or KNOW TRUTH WHEN THEY HEAR IT. For only within that “HOLY PLACE” or “THE SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH” in the center of one’s own soul can one possibly find contact with God and “BE TAUGHT OF HIM.”

  8. Know you not that “The kingdom of Heaven” is within you? The tabernacle “in the wilderness” was a temporary, movable “place” where God dwelt in the compartment of the Holy of Holies. When King Solomon’s temple was built, the Holy of Holies became “more” permanent and immovable however this was not the true resting place of God. It was only symbolic. When Christ came and revealed Himself in the resurrection as being the true tabernacle, the truth was then revealed that so as He is in the world…so are we…meaning we are the true temple of God…where He dwells in heaven. Are we not taught that the kingdom of God is within us. And is it not a fact that just because we do not understand this, it doesn’t make it so?

Yes, the kingdom of heaven is now and has always been in the “now,” for as we each come into and out of this temporary place of mistaken identity, God has always been in the secret place of the Holy of Holies, hidden away behind the veil, and present in the tabernacle in which we are. We don’t go to heaven, we just “come” to realize we never left heaven or His presence except for the temporary blindness to it. This is why we have a conscious and a sub conscious or a spirit and a soul. One is spirit and one is subordinate to the other. The soul is a part of the whole, however it was the part taken out of Adam and placed in the holy place within us, thus we became compartmentalized into two consciousness’.

The spirit of God has never left us nor have we ever been separated from Him, this is why the illusionary separation between the Holy of Holies and the Holy place was created. This allegory is the same as the separation of the spirit and soul. Once because of the veil (flesh) being rent and making a way for the reunion of the spirit and soul to take place, we will regain our consciousness back into reality from which we came. It’s a wonderful thing to understand for there is no loss in the light of these truths….for anyone. It’s all good.

  9. The only way God can be in you is through receiving the Messiah, Yeshua, Jesus, as your Saviour. Until one does thins, and has this communion with God, and freely accepts the Cross, He is without Christ within, and is separate from the LIght of the World…though He be cared for by Him, for God Himself has chosen the Way of Salvation for all Men. Only by His death on the Cross, and His Life, can we live, and make Heaven our Home for eternity.

  10. And now we see behind the veil – the everlasting Light of Life, eternally burning. Now we recognize we have awakened from a dream in which we believed we possessed a separate will, one capable of transgressing God’s laws of divine love. We have all heard the Spirit’s call to seek within, and to learn of the way and the truth. And we heeded the call to travel deeper, spiraling ever inward that we might understand the Fear of God.

When the veil is unknown to us, though we hear the call and believe in God, we are unable to perceive the altar and the eternal life its open door provides. Rather than light, we initially believe our inner holy place is dark. Unable to perceive the light, we therefore believe we exist in darkness, separated from God’s Light of Life. Unable to detect the fire of life behind the veil – we believed we were separated from life and death became “real” to us according to our belief. Our holy place became a place of separation and deep darkness. This belief in separation from God’s life created the Fear of God (that meant love could be tainted by fear), even the heavy veil preventing us from perceiving the altar of life and entering the kingdom, until we we were prepared to receive it by the teaching and instruction of the Spirit.

The altar stands in our holy place forever perfect, incorruptible and full of light. The altar is the eternally open door to our source, and the fullness of our Father. In our sleep a veil covers the altar, and instead our holy place creates a dream of “believed” darkness, and instead of divine love we experience fear, which is, of course, the absence of love. (See 1 John 4:18).

And it is this veil of fear that prevents us from approaching the holy place, for the closer we come to it, the greater the awareness of the darkness within us becomes. No one, in the workings of their carnal mind, can approach the altar, for the fear of God prevents it.

Yet, by the leading of the Spirit, the understanding of Divine Love (The Fire of Life) develops within our conscious awareness and mitigates fear as we approach the altar. By the Spirit’s revelation, for the spirit does not teach with words, the awareness of Light is given to the conscious mind. By this light, when one reaches the end of the inward journey, the altar’s Fire of Life can be recognized burning brightly behind what was only an illusionary veil.

And in this firelight we recognize that death, fear’s greatest deceptive tactic, is defeated. By the light of the altar, when the veil is removed through our inner understanding, we see the door to the kingdom standing open. And within our Holy Place we see only fearlessness and ever-expanding joy.

  11. 1 John 4

Another message from John On Denying the Incarnation

4 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

  12. If we desire to be spiritualy minded, we could choose to follow the simple intructions given by Jesus Christ through Annalee in the book, “To God The Glory” which follow:

And so that you may be left without excuse I now give you the three tests by which you may know the truth of my (Jesus Christ) Words.

First: ask of me, with a sincere heart, whether this is of God or not, and He will reveal the truth of it unto you by the power of the Holy Ghost. And thus you may know the truth of all things. But be careful that after such witness is borne to you and testifies to your soul, and brings peace to your heart, by the power of the Holy Ghost, lest you return to your doubting, and thus be found to sin against this Divine Witness, even the Holy Ghost, which sin cannot be forgiven.

Second: Live the teachings and you will KNOW whether they be of God, or whether they be of man.

Third: This is the test that cannot fail, nor can a fool err therein, nor be deceived, for it is as plain to discern as it is to discern the light of noonday from the darkness of night. “Anything that enticeth a man to serve and love God, and to pray, IS OF GOD.”

So be it, for I have spoken. Let none mock my words for they are true and faithful.

Yea, I am Jesus Christ, the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and Omega, the great Amen.

  13. The above admonition is in complete harmony with God’s Holy Scriptures! NEVER be afraid to ask for wisdom from your loving Heavenly Father. NEVER be afraid to live the teachings of Jesus Christ. NEVER be afraid to recognize when teachings are inviting and enticing you to do good, to love God, and to pray to him — no matter what other people say or do. If you do these things, then you will have all the proof you will ever need in order to know what teachings are of God and what teachings are anti-Christ! For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

  14. But behold, that which is of God, inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, everything which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God.

Whrefore take heed, my beloved brethren, that ye do not judge that which is evil to be of God, or that which is good and of God, to be of the devil.

For behold, my brethren, it is given unto you to judge, that ye may know good from evil; and the way to judge is as plain, that ye may know with a perfect knowledge, as the daylight is from the dark night.

    For behold, the Spirit of Christ is given to every man, that they may know good from evil; wherefore I shew unto you the way to judge: for everything which inviteth to do good, and to persuade to believe in Christ, is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ;

Wherefore ye may know with a perfect knowledge, it is of God; but whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do evil, and believe not in Christ, and deny him, and serve not God, then ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of the devil,

For after this manner doth the devil work, for he persuadeth no man to do good, no not one; neither doth his angels; neither do they who subject themselves unto him.

And now, my brethren, seeing that ye know the light by which ye may judge, which light is the light of Christ, see that ye do not judge wrongfully; for with that same judgment which ye judge, ye shall also be judged.

Wherefore I beseech of you, brethren, that ye should search diligently in the light of Christ, that ye may know good from evil; and if ye will lay hold upon every good thing, and condemn it not, ye certainly will be a child of Christ.

  15. John 3:19

19And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21But whoever practices the truth comes into the Light, so that it may be seen clearly that what he has done has been accomplished in God.”c
