Coming in the Clouds
1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
Ezekiel 10:4 Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and paused over the threshold of the temple; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD’s glory.
Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall beĀ REVEALED IN US.
1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

Hi Rachel, this is why we must not forsake the assembly of ourselves. I don’t know why but, untill I veiwed this study, I had never conected God, as a cloud, to Jesus standing on the cloud!
September 8, 2012 at 8:14 pm
2 Thessalonians 1:7
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Immanuel shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
Rachel, all i can do, is with respect, fully disagree with you !,..you interpretation dosent stand against Scripture,..in my opinion you are seriously straying and your judgement or discernment is seriously clouded
1 Thess 4 v 17
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Not only will He be visibly seen Coming,..( the Glorious Second Coming),..He’s coming with an very large group of angels,..
HOW do you explain this large group of angels? that will accompany Him to Establish His Fathers Kingdom,..in the last days,..thats last days in my Holy Bible,…Isaiah 2:2 and Micah 4:1,..not the start
Matthew 24:31
And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Matthew 25:31
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
Matthew 24:29-31
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Mark 13 v 26 and 27
26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
and you should discern this,..the high priest couldnt grasp what He was saying either!
Mark 14
the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed?
62 And Immanuel said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
63 Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?

Hi Brian … what I say is contrary to organized religions interpetations of scriptures, not the scriptures. There are many interpetations, but truth will stand in the end. Wisdom is justified by her children; meaning when we are in truth our lives testify to the truth …
As for God’s angels … God’s angels are always at work … do you see them? Perhaps you do, but don’t realize? Hebrews 13:2
September 10, 2012 at 3:47 pm
nope cant say i have,…but ive seen Good Spirits and bad spirits at work,…..i just test them against Scripture,….you?
September 8, 2012 at 8:43 pm
and Hebrews 9 v 27
He will also come a second time. At that time he will not suffer for sin. Instead, he will come to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
like you made a mistake with your interpretation of the thief in the night,..and corrected yourself,….i feel you need to do the similar thing with your thoughts on post.
The King of kings, The King of Israel,The Son of God Almighty will return visibly as Written, when all that is fulfilled that is Written..with all His Mighty Angels
regarding The Temple,..The Holy Temple is not us individually,..but is The Whole Body of His peoples, for His Father to Dwell in.,..yes hopefully we will all be little parts of that Temple,…with Him the Head
Ephesians 2,..
v 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an Holy Temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
we are not The Temple,..Immanuel will build it,..when He Returns,..as Written in beautiful undeniable Scripture of Zechariah 6
Zechariah 6:12-14
12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The Branch; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the Temple of the Lord:
13 Even He shall build the temple of the Lord; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon His Throne; and He shall be a priest upon His Throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

You make a good point Thresher.
The Rapture- is- ‘the Corporate Miracle of His Appearing in Visible Glory’.
The following verse refers to the ‘Private Revelation of His Glory in Your Heart’.
2 Cor 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. This is by His Holy Spirit, rather than a reference to the rapture, which is the appearing of Jesus.
I don’t think Jesus wants us to view Him behind the veil anymore, or in the clouds.
Isaiah 30:20 And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, Yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, But your eyes shall see your teachers.
Luke 23:45 Then the sun was darkened, and the Veil of the temple was torn in two.
2 Cor 3:16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord (Jesus), the Veil is taken away.
September 9, 2012 at 10:32 am
well its not that im making a point other than posting Scripture that dosent fit with what Rachel has said in some of her video’s lately,..and it gives her the chance and us the chance to rightfully divide the Word,..rebuke each other with the love of Truth, foremost, on it,..and debate
as far as im aware,..according to Scripture,..The Kingdom has been ever advancing/growing from Genesis right through to Revelation, and will only come to fruition when The Holy Chosen Son,King of Kings, hands over The Kingdom, (when death is finally put under His Feet)..to His Father, God Almighty,..fulfilling what is Written,..both in Prophecy,His Word, and the first line of The Lords Prayer…
This Finished Kingdom is at the END,thats, THE END,..of the prophesied 1000 years,..AFTER,..thats 1000 years AFTER,… His Second Coming (His Personal Return) to this earth.
The Kingdom….and Our Redeemers Second Return,..should not be mistaken! as the same thing!…,as they are both very different events,
The Kingdom will grow unseen,..
Our Wonderful King and Saviour, will Return in All His Glory,..as Written
in many passages of Scripture,..but quite clearly in Matt 24 v 30
30 : And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
the word ‘rapture’, hmmm,.. i dont use it,…as most christians foolishly use it to think they as getting whisked away to Heaven its to be free from the Great Tribulation…which will conclude with the 7 trumpet,..and then a catching up into, the ‘clouds’…the ‘air’, (not HEAVEN)…just prior to His Arrival to the Mount of Olives,..that, He left from,… and the angels, there, said, He would Return to the SAME place in the same manner,..i’ll stick firmly by what, The Shepherd of Israel said,..and also His Fathers, Holy Messenger Angels!…Acts 1
September 9, 2012 at 10:56 am
Making a point is simply giving an explaination.
Yes—- it is a catching away before tribulation because —–1 Thess 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ
The tribulation period is a time of God pouring out his wrath, which is given in detail in the book of Revelation.
He is catching the Church out, just as He took the Israelites out of Egypt by Moses.
The first time he split the sea, this time he will split the sky.
September 9, 2012 at 8:34 pm
Anonymous,
i’ll agree with you on one thing youve wrote,..the end time for a particular group of people/church will be a copy cat of the Israelites being led out of Egypt,..’Egypt’ of course is the world system in which we all live in, under the ‘sun god’ worshipping system of the modern day Pharaoh,..better known as the the roman church and its jesuits…and thats all the babylon ‘world’ and especially USA and UK.
1 Thess 5 v 9,..as always covers alot more for us to uncover
dont mix the ‘hour of tria’l,..with the Day of the Lord,…and although everything is God Almightys Wrath over the 7 year tribulation, prophecy of Daniel, its going to reach its peak near the Second Coming,..when that gathering from the ends of the earth and graves will take place,..before that great wrath and power is displayed to His enemies,..if we discern that those days are cut short for the elects sake and that no flesh would be left other wise,..then as its Written in Jeremiah,..they will wonder why,..and the answer is also in Jeremiah,..because of idol worship of foreign gods,..we all need to discern this in the countries we all live,..are God People serving foreign gods without knowing it?..and their idols everywhere in the land?…surely not!!!!!!!!!!!!
anyways,..the catching up at the 7 Trumpet,is into the air,.above our clouds,….but its still not Heaven,.and its at the end of tribulation
Rev Chp 2 and 3,…in The Lord Himself speaking to The 7 churches,.Rev 3 v 10,..says one GROUP/church will be kept from the hour of trail,..thats coming to everyone everywhere,…but it still not Heaven,..Rev 12 reveals a little bit more,..as to where,..but its still not Heaven,…
September 9, 2012 at 9:20 pm
All in total that you have written, may well be correct. I think the catching away, is a different moment from , the day of the Lord, or the last trumpet (I think you said that). The catching away, is to the clouds, and is before the tribulation, that begins at the appearing of the anti-christ. From the clouds, you will go to Heaven, because that’s where God’s throne is, and you are Christ’s bride or Christ’s body, and Heaven is where the marriage supper of the Lamb is, and Christ is the Bridegroom. The Father will turn the world over to the anti-christ, when sin has reached a climax in the Earth, God will turn them over to strong delusion. Before that time period, there will be Revivals, and soulwinning for Christ (which I believe is where Rachel’s emphasis fits in). We are not in the anti-christ reign yet. This will be a time of judgement.
The Rapture and catching away is referred to in the following verses. Notice he says, this will be as the days of Noah. They were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in Marriage. They are having a good time. This is not a time of tribulation. It is before the tribulation, representing the Days we are in Now.
37 But as the days of Noah [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two [women shall be] grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched. Notice that if this were in the reign of the anti-christ, you wouldn’t need to watch, because you would already be in it. The watching precedes it. To keep you from it.
September 9, 2012 at 10:10 pm
the problem of interrupting the ‘as in the days of Noah’,..one taken and the other left …the only ones left was Noah and his family,..everyone else was taken away,..just as in a threshing of the barley or wheat harvest,..all the chaff is blown or burned away,..only the grain is left,…if you see what i mean?
i’ll agree with you that Tribulation starts the day the anti je’sus arrives with his angels,..let out from their prison deep within this earth! or even under the sea/abyss,….(probably,thats probably, in the midst of a nuclear war!for major affect)
this will set the wheels in motion for the, ‘ falling away’. as most sleepy people will not be aware that the first thing that arrives out of the sky and claims to be je’sus,..looks like what the romans protray him/ie’sus to look like,..does a alot of fake miracles,..and has a band of angels with him…and have the run of the place for 42 months,
if this as i can only guess is the hour of trial,..then a group or church as Written in Rev 3,..will be spared from it,(where they are taken?, Scripture only says ‘ Wilderness’)…its certainly not Heaven,..and certainly not The Marriage,..BECAUSE,..if you discern Scripture ..The Bridegroom is ,..hmmm,.. is busy,..during this important time period,..very busy,..with something Important, that Only He can do!…..so it just dosent fit,..its Biblically impossible,..He’d be doing 2 things at the same time?..
for the 2nd set of 42 months,..when The Witnesses appear,..you can be sure His Heavenly Eyes will be on His Witnesses,..and again Scripture has Him preoccupied with Other duties during this time,..He’s Certainly not Getting Married or Feasting,…..and if you read Scripture the ones that make the feast,..the great multitude in white robes,..come out of Tribulation,..not saved from it,..Rev 7 v 14.
and just to be clear,..no,..i believe, because its Written, one group/church will be kept from the first 42 months of the anti je’sus reign,.if this is indeed the hour of trial..and i dont think its Heaven,..it just say Wilderness, Rev 12
the rest will live or die as the case may be for the next 7 years,.or .until the 6 Trumpet at least,..when the 4 angels under the river are released,..to cause mayhem for a day a month and a year,..sometime between this and the Second Coming,.will the dead that are in Him, be removed from their graves,..and those alive caught up in the clouds,..and meet Him, in The Air,..and make that Wedding.
just out or curiosity,..do you believe at The 7 Trumpet,..Our Redeemer will physically Return to this earth?
September 10, 2012 at 7:26 am
He said, the conditions of sin on earth will be as it was in the days of Noah.
The falling away means, that much of the church will fall into apastasy by falling into doctrines of devils (what you call sun gods), and following sin. That’s happening now.
There is an element of tribulation that we live in now, but it is not The Tribulation.
Jesus said, while you are in the world you will have tribulation, but cheer up I have overcome the world.
So those at the feast come out of tribulation that we experience now, but not The Tribulation.
As far as the Bidegroom being busy-
2 Thess 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. (taken out of the way, at the Rapture)
I do not find a Church group being kept during the anit-christ.
There will be groups who wake up, and find the Lord after the Church is raptured. And there will be groups of Jews who are saved at that time.
Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
No, I don’t believe Jesus returns at the 7th trumpet, because that is just before the Two Witnesses are commissioned.
I think some of the references in Revelation happen over a long period of time, and do not represent a single short time period.
They cover and include the church age from the time of Jesus resurrection until the End. I think the seven chuches represent 7 eras of the church, and we are the Laodacean Church. So we are being kept now.
September 10, 2012 at 3:33 pm
a couple of things,..the devils which i call sun gods,..is how they are described in Scripture,….a star is a sun …a sun is a star,…and if you care to look everywhere around you,..are star and sun images in many many different forms,…and also even the pharaoh/pope main emblem is the monstrance,..which is just a star/sun,…and they mark everything thats is theirs with it,..like police badges for instance,..also with red crosses,..and of course satans favourite the white star/sun pyramid top …also Apollyon is Sol Invictus or Apollo the sun god,..or in the papacy,..christos helius,..helius meaning sun,..so yes ,…they worship sun gods and the starry host,..what we are Commanded not to do,..or be part off,…and most if not all so called christian churches have in or on them,..never mind the other hideous idolatrous things
Amos 5:26
But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your
images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.
Acts 7:43
Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
certainly The Tribulation hasnt started,at least we can agree on that.
far as i think,..the anti jesus christ will cause that main falling away,..of 2 Thess 2,..and the delusion God Almighty will keep them in.
i can only deal with endtime great Tribulation,..as i feel Scripture, most Books Old n New is dealing with the immediate times ahead,..Revelation however,..is dealing with the times ahead,..read the 1st few lines,..its in Heaven,..with the Son of Man,..about what must take place.
if you apply Daniel,..and the Words being sealed up till the time of the end,..and Isaiah, (referring to learning the Revelation times),..precept and upon precept, line upon line,..a little here a little there
and Immanuel Prayer to His Father,..
John 17:15
I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
and Rev 3 v10,..are both are the testing thats coming upon this world
but neither Rev 3 or John 17 is any sort of ‘rapture’,..discern greatly John 17,..NOT to be taken OUT of this World
as for when The 7 th Angel, Blows,.in Rev 11 v 15,..When The World becomes God Almightys Kingdom,…be sure The One Born to Be King, of It, Forever and ever,.. Will take His Rightful Place as King of it.
as confirmed in, the beautiful Scripture of Zechariah….
just curious?.. when do you think He Will Return,.if not, with what Scripture Says?
September 10, 2012 at 4:11 pm
I do not try to decide when He will return, but I do observe the seasons, that point to His nearing return.
If I follow your interpretations or story line, as you have just laid it out, I’m not sure of the importance of it being- laid- out, or explained at all. If your going to be here till the end, just enjoy the ride.
What’s the need for an interpretation or a vision like Revelation, just to say “you’ll be here till the end”?
If your going to be here till the end, no explanations are needed. Just say everything continues till the end.
I do think it’s more important to center-in on Rachel’s side of the equation, which is to walk with Him and allow the kingdom to flow out from our spirit, to change the world into His image.
September 10, 2012 at 4:52 pm
ok then, i’ll ask it another way,..do you think ?..at all?..The Son of God will return to this earth,..and i mean,a visual, physical appearance?…Yes? …no?..maybe?… dont know?
ohhh certainly dont follow me in any of my interpretations,..follow no man!.. or woman, as the case may be.
i could only hope and pray id be here till the end, rough ride or not..but i’ll either be here or in the ‘waterless pit’ with the rest of the prisoners,..i’ll certainly not be in Heaven, anytime soon,..if ever,..but id rather be here helping those poor really lost sheep that are caught in the famine,..than be in Heaven
and surely the same goes for you and others, if your going to be ‘raptured’ outta here before the great Tribulation,.. just enjoy the ride
i dont have a problem with with each and every one of us having to walk that narrow path,..spiritually with Him, Our ONLY TEACHER,..day and daily,..and yes with The Holy Spirit, He, through it will thankfully change us spiritually,..till hopefully we all come to the One understanding,..its one ride that i am so enjoying,..gets more exciting every day,..a hope it never ends for any of us,…and many many countless others start to hear Our Shepherds Call.
September 10, 2012 at 5:54 pm
I think your reaction is an emotional one. It doesn’t make any difference what we feel or think about the Lord’s intentions on how He is writing the story. You’re to be commended on your concern for other’s,
but you can have the same concern, on either side of the interpretation. I wasn’t condemning your feelings about it, all I said, was, what’s the need for a Revelation to say ‘you’ll be hear till the end’? That’s just a logical statement you can make. The format for the discussion- in this, -revolves around the end of the Father’s patience with sin. When He gets tired of sin, He calls the curtain. What we feel has little to do with that.
Yes I believe the Lord will appear in visible, physical form, but every time I say how, you knock it down. I also believe that He is appearing in visible form now, to many individuals, but most believers can’t handle that idea. I don’t know how you missed the story about Heaven.. Heaven is a planet where the Heavenly Father, and Jesus now ‘live’. How you missed the story of Heaven I would have no way of understanding. It’s part of what the whole Bible is about. Go online and look up visitations that God has given to believers, where they have been caught up to Heaven in visions, or where they have gone there ‘in spirit’ while on the operating table. I wouldn’t be able to relate to you on that idea, because I know Jesus too well. I wouldn’t be able to commlunicate my own personal visions to you either, if your heart is closed on that subject. I really pray you will open your heart in that area. It’s a matter of faith for you to believe in these things that relate to Heaven, all I could do is share what I know.

Look up Dumitru Dudumanās visions of America
September 10, 2012 at 1:39 pm
yes ive heard of him and his visions, and i wouldnt disagree a big lot with them…but,..id rather go with Isaiah s and Jeremiahs and Zechariahs visions,….and if that cap of the daughter of Zion matches with the prophecy ,of her living with the daughter of Babylon and her idols and horrendous idolatry,…then yip,..sadly, very sadly,..America and the Uk are going to pay the price,…and as its Written,..and they will wonder why

In order to fully understand the Word of God (the Bible), there are certain requirements that you must yield to. The Bible is a spiritual book, and it must be spiritually discerned. “Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually examined” (I Corinthians 2:14). The spiritual requirements for a clear understanding of the Word of God are as follows:
One must love God: Deuteronomy 6:5; Matthew 22:37; Mark 12:30; Luke 10:27; Matthew 10:37; Luke 14:25-35; I John 2:7-11, 4:7,8,20.
One must have the will to do God’s will: John 7:17; Psalms 40:6-8; Acts 13:22; Matthew 19:29; Mark 10:29-31; Colossians 1:9-11; Ephesians 5:17; I Thessalonians 4:3; John 14:21; I Thessalonians 5:16-18.
One must be willing to lay aside human theories and practices of men which are contrary to the will of God: Matthew 23:15, 29-36; Isaiah 66:1-5; Ezekiel 14:4,5; Acts 17:10,11; Galatians 6:12; Ephesians 4:17; Isaiah 29:13-16.
One must pray to the Lord, ”Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law” (Psalms 119:18). Proverbs 2:3, Psalm 119:160, Dan. 4:37. The intellectual requirements are as follows: One must study the Word in order to get its messages. II Timothy 2:15. One must discipline one’s mind to memorize the Word. Psalms 119:11; 37:31; 40:8. One must worship the Lord with all one’s heart. Proverbs 1:7; 9:10,15,33; Psalms 111:10; Job 28:28.
WHEN the fullness of the time came, God brought His Son into the world who suffered and died in order that we might have redemption full and free through Him. He has thus opened up a new and living way by means of the veil of His flesh, which was rent on the cross. He has thus entered into a new covenant with all believers who will accept His invitation to come and find rest. Thus what was spoken to Israel nationally is not necessarily applicable to the church of God today and vice versa. A failure to recognize this plain distinction has led to untold confusion. Many of the older theologians made no distinction between the children of Israel and the church of God. Thus indiscriminately they applied what the prophets spoke to Israel nationally to the church of today. They were always, however, careful to see that the curses and the threats hurled at national Israel are not to be applied to the church.
Let us be a little more specific. What Moses and the prophets spoke to the nation of Israel as a people should not be applied to anyone else except Israel. If we see in a given passage a certain fundamental basic principle set forth, we may apply the principle to an analogous case. But we must be certain that the analogy exists before we make an application of the principle. When God, for instance, promised to enter into a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, which would be different from the one into which He entered when He brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, we are to understand that this is a very definite promise to the Jewish people. This prediction is found in Jeremiah 31:31ff. God entered into a specific covenant with Israel when He brought her out of the land of Egypt and led her to Sinai (Exod., chap. 24). Now He says to the same nation that He will enter into a new covenant with her, but that it is to be different from the one which He made with her formerly. The language is specific. By no method of mental gymnastics can anyone twist this passage to mean anything else other than what it says.
When the plain sense of Scripture makes common sense, seek no other sense; therefore, take every word at its primary, ordinary, usual, literal meaning unless the facts of the immediate context, studied in the light of related passages and axiomatic and fundamental truths indicate clearly otherwise.
Seek the plain, literal meaning of the Scriptures.
The sum and substance of this most important rule is that one should take every statement of the Scriptures at its face value, if possible.
The following is an analysis of the adjectives āprimary,ā āordinary,ā and āusual.ā
āPrimaryā emphasizes the original, inherent idea in the term.
āOrdinaryā and āusualā are practically synonyms, especially in this definition, āusualā being employed for the sake of emphasis.
āLiteralā is used to emphasize the thought that every word must first be taken literally as expressing the exact thought of the author at the time when it was used; and one is not to go beyond the literal meaning of the Scriptures unless the facts of the context indicate a deeper, hidden or symbolic meaning.
Seek the figurative meaning only when the facts demand such an interpretation.
Modernism and rationalism are the logical outgrowth of forcing a figurative meaning upon a passage that is clearly literal, or vice versa.
Study every statement of the Scriptures in context. A TEXT APART FROM ITS CONTEXT IS A PRETEXT. Then study the facts of the context in the light of related passages and axiomatic fundamental truths. ā… No prophecy of scripture is of private (special) interpretationā (II Peter 1:20); āThe sum of thy word is truthā (Psalm 119:160).
Study the following texts and apply the Golden Rule of Interpretation:
Zechariah 9:9,10
Jeremiah 29:9-14
Ezekiel 34:20-24 (Will David be king over Israel?)

There Only is One King Of Israel,..Immanuel, The Messiah,Son of God Almighty!
Matthew 19:28
Immanuel said to them, `I tell you the truth. In the new world, the Son of Man will be great. He will sit on His Throne of Glory to rule. Then you who have come with me will also sit on twelve thrones. You will judge the twelve tribes of Israel.
Matthew 21:5
He said, `Tell the people of Zion: See, your king is coming to you. He is not proud. He rides a donkey. It is a young animal.’
Luke 1:32
He will be a great man. He will be called the Son of the Highest One The Lord God will make Him King where his father David was king.
Luke 1:33
He will be king over the people of Israel for ever. He will never stop being king.’
and verse 9 of the Beautiful Scripture of, Zechariah 14
9. The Lord will be King over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord. His Name Will be the Only Name.
September 11, 2012 at 6:19 pm
Frequently we see that two events, separated by a long period of time, are mentioned together. As an illustration of this, see Zechariah 9:9,10: āRejoice greatly, 0 daughter of Zion; shout, 0 daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy king cometh unto thee; he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, even upon the foal of an ass. 10 And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow shall be cut off; and he shall speak peace unto the nations: and his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.ā An examination of verse 9 show that the prophet was speaking of the first coming of the Messiah. A study of verse 10 shows unmistakably that in it Zechariah was speaking of the second coming of Christ. Thus between verses 9 and 10 intervenes the entire Christian Dispensation. Nevertheless, there is no indication of this separating period. A blending of descriptions regarding two other widely separated events may be seen again in such a passage as Jeremiah 29:9,10 which speaks of the restoration of the Jews from Babylonian captivity, and which was fulfilled by Zerubbabel and Joshua, who brought back the captives to the Holy Land. Jeremiah 29:11-14 gives a prediction of Israel’s world-wide regathering in the time of the end. Thus between verses 10 and 11 intervenes the period between Israel’s restoration from Babylon and her final restoration in the end time. The principle of blending such widely-removed events and presenting them as one picture is known as the law of double reference and might be illustrated by the stereopticon lantern that gives the dissolving effect.

sorry i think you might have got the Scripture wrong, bwecause of the way i wrote it,..its Zechariah Chp 14 v 9,..and verse 9, is talking of the Second Coming,..as is all of Zechariah 14
for those taking notes,or for those that need to take note,..read verse 4,..and the last line of verse 5……right on to verse 17.
and then turn the pages back to Zechariah Chp 8,..and when you have read it,read it again,..and again,..and, TAKE NOTE of the last line of verse 23!

34:20 āāTherefore, this is what the sovereign Lord says to them: Look, I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep. 34:21 Because you push with your side and your shoulder, and thrust your horns at all the weak sheep until you scatter them abroad, 34:22 I will save my sheep; they will no longer be prey. I will judge between one sheep and another.
34:23 I will set one shepherd over them, and he will feed them ā namely, my servant David. He will feed them and will be their shepherd. 34:24 I, the Lord, will be their God, and my servant David will be prince among them; I, the Lord, have spoken
In verse 23 The messianic king (Christ) is here called āDavidā (see Jer 30:9 and Hos 3:5, as well as Isa 11:1 and Mic 5:2) because he will fulfill the Davidic royal ideal depicted in the prophets and royal psalms (see Ps 2, 89).
That was the point with the question if read out of context a person would think that David was going to be king. But again letting the context play its role in understanding scripture a person will see who the king is actually Christ and not David

My scripture verses are from Ezekiel 34:20-24

Oh i fully understand and i’ll agree,There is Only One King of Israel in The Messianic Kingdom here on earth
..most of the of Scripture doubles for a way back then and immediate future,..as indeed Our Saviour ,..is ‘Adam’ ‘Joseph’ ‘Joshua’ ‘Boaz’ and ‘David’ etc
saying that,..king David was given promises,..he knew full well he would be dead and sleep in the dust with the ‘ fathers’ until the time of the end Second Coming……ive no doubt the shepherd boy that became king David will be given a very high place in The Kingdom when it is Established here on earth,..along with Moses,..Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,..and of course the Disciples who as we know from Our King own words will here on earth that they would rule over the Tribes of Israel…of course all under The Messiah,The King of Israel,..and His Father, The Blessed One,Majesty, of All
what a Truly Wonderful Kingdom to look forward too

Zechariah Chp 14 and Chp 8,..source/resources, Holy Scriptures and Holy Spirit
14 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
3 Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
9 And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.
10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses.
11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the Lord shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.
14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.
15 And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.
16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the Lord will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, Holiness Unto The Lord; and the pots in the Lord’s house shall be like the bowls before the altar.
21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the Lord of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the Lord of hosts.
8 Again the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying,
2 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury.
3 Thus saith the Lord; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the Lord of hosts the holy mountain.
4 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.
5 And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.
6 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes? saith the Lord of hosts.
7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;
8 And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.
9 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the Lord of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.
10 For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbour.
11 But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the Lord of hosts.
12 For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.
13 And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong.
14 For thus saith the Lord of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the Lord of hosts, and I repented not:
15 So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.
16 These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:
17 And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the Lord.
18 And the word of the Lord of hosts came unto me, saying,
19 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love the truth and peace.
20 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:
21 And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts: I will go also.
22 Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord.
23 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.
