Elements to Entering Rest

In this brief video, I share some important concepts that help us to enter into God’s rest as He tells us to  …

Hebrews 4:11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.

My passion is cultivating a deep relationship with God and helping others to do the same. I LOVE sharing with others insights that God has taught me and hearing what God has taught them... thus my blog, Stirring the Deep. My focus is on a relationship, not a religion. Life is in the relationship. I believe in a balance and unity of body, mind and spirit. I feel it's important to nurture all three for they all affect each other. I try to live in the present, where the Holy Spirit is. And I try to do all with the motive of love. I've come to believe life is a journey and not a destination. It isn't about perfection, is it about growth.

  1. 🙂 Thank you for sharing and for also making the scripture understandable… Your video was an answer to my prayer, I have been struggling with trust I recently spoke with God, as well asked Him, to guide me to scripture that will help me understand how to trust Him, I am very thankful God, directed me to your video message which helped me see the scriptures you spoke about in a new aspect….

    God, Bless

  2. Hi Slik – thanks so much for your comment – continue to seek from God about how to trust — it is so important – as you do He will show you incredible peace and rest.

  3. Thank you, Rachel, for taking the time and energy to do these videos and posts! As you spoke on this, it just brought so much peace from Him. It shows once again the lies that we may unknowingly be accepting . . .and then the truth that sets us free to trust Him and take Him at His word!
    God bless you abundantly today!

    • Hi Debbie – it truly is amazing the peace and rest God desires for us and how stubborn and resistant we can be because we think we know best. As you draw near and begin to act according to God’s counsel and see the perfection of it- you learn to trust and let go of your way to embrace His and the rest follows.

  4. What peace in His rest! Thank you for sharing God’s truthes in such creative ways. Our flesh so wants to judge and understand and yet we know we can not lean on our understanding and just trust in our God. There we find rest, thanks Rachel!

    • Hi Tom – well said … we can’t lean on our own understanding … we have to not have faith in what we see but in our Father who is faithful and has perfect love for us.
