Fellowship: A Spiritual Matter
2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
Fellowship is a spiritual interaction between two or more souls. It’s connecting with other similar spirits. There is only one of two spirits which we can be; a spirit of God or a spirit not of God, a spirit of truth or a spirit of lies, a spirit of light or a spirit of darkness. Which kingdom we belong to and foster faith in signifies what type of spirit we are, (see post). Because of this polarization, we can only connect with those of the same spirit; a spirit of light can’t connect with a spirit of darkness … And what communion has light with darkness?
Last week I talked about how we engage in “buying and selling” to increase our faith within the two different kingdoms. (see post)
We “buy and sell” with the kings of the kingdoms, but we also trade (A form of “buying and selling” in which two or more have something to offer and exchange; the beliefs they bought) with those who are in the kingdom, another word for trading is fellowshipping.
Matthew 25:16 Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.
We trade (fellowship) with those of the same kingdom as we are. For example, the man who has chosen to “buy and sell” faith from Christ can only trade with others who are “buying and selling” from that same kingdom because God’s truth and wisdom are contrary to the world’s. 1 Corin 3: 19, 2 Corin 1:12 As we commune with others buying from the Holy Spirit and we exchange what we’ve been learning, this exchange affects our faith.
James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
We increase our faith by 1. “buying and selling” with the king of the kingdom and 2. trading (fellowshipping) with others of the same kingdom. Following the example from my previous post, if we are trading with others who believe working 16 hours a day leads to the fulfillment of their desire, then our faith will be strengthened in that worldly belief. If we are trading with others who are following God’s wisdom and enjoying true rest and the power of God working in their lives, our faith in His wisdom will be strengthened.
Matthew 18:20″For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” (what kingdom you increase faith in is the one you bear the name of)
For fellowship/trading to occur both have to be “buying and selling” individually from the king, because then they have something to exchange and trade. If one is buying from Christ and the other not, no exchange can take place. This disunity is why people can hear the truth from others, and not be changed by it. Someone can hear one speak of the truth, but it falls on deaf ears because they are seeped in “buying and selling” with the kingdom of lies jading what they hear. These people haven’t been buying the gold refined in fire from Christ, the Word of God, but have been “buying and selling” with the kingdom of darkness. It’s one or the other. Each one does their own “buying and selling” from the king, then they can fellowship. If two souls’ kings are different, there is no fellowship, there is no trade.
Matthew 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’
We “buy and sell” in every area of our lives. Most everyone is taught to “buy and sell” from the kingdom of darkness from birth. To move out of the kingdom of darkness, we have to make a choice to start “buying and selling” with the King of the kingdom of light. John 6:29. As we do, we move away from the kingdom of darkness, its ways and philosophies, until we become aliens in this world, disconnected and consumed with the light of truth. As this happens, our lives start to bear the fruit of kingdom of light; rest, peace, joy, fulfillment, contentment, and love. There is only one kingdom whose ways deliver what it promises, the other is full of lies and manipulation of our hope.
Our faith determines what our lives manifest. Seek to “buy and sell” the truth from the King and fellowship with those who do the same.

Hi Rachel, I do like your take on subject —Eccl. 1:9 what has been is what will be and what has been done is what will be done; and there is nothing new under the sun. – Zech. 1:14 Cry out, thus says the Lord of hosts: I am exceedingly jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion. I am very angry with the nations that are at ease; for while I was angry but a little they furthered the disaster. therefore, thus says the Lord, I have returned to Jerusalem with compassion; MY house shall be built in it, says the Lord of hosts and the measuring line shall be streched out over Jerusalem. Since 1948 is the only time that villages in Israel have been without walls! the rebuilt temple is the individual with a heart of love for God, as David had! The measuring line stretches around the earth, covering “ALL” that are part of the rebuilt temple. Holy Spirit is the wall of fire!

Hi Eldon – thanks for sharing these verses holding such powerful truth. Yes, the temple is the individual soul established on the Rock. It’s our part to be a diligent in seeking truth from the One who is truth, which is our part of building the temple.

I am going back to read your previous post Rachel. That concept of buy and sell makes sense–and it is easy not to realize that I am doing it in my relationships with others. I certainly need to become more of an alien.

great post Rachel,..it gives us a great chance to rightfully divide the Word!
first and foremost agreeing on the same Only True Gospel,..and building carefully on top of that,…with very solid precepts,….(and my very own personal building method is, getting my precepts stamped and approved by The Holy Spirit)
The Father Almighty,Whom we Should Only Worship! has laid The Foundation The Cornerstone, its His Beloved, One and Only Son, His Chosen One,Who is and Whom He Made, King O’Israel,over All The Israelites,from the Beginning ..to This Very Hour ..and Forever…and Also,The Glorious King of Heaven,and in His Time,When He, The Father Wills It,will Make Him,King of This World,Fulfilling and Establishing His Kingdom,just as It Is Written,..and prayed for In The Lords Prayer!,..Yet,He,The Son,Always,Being Subject to His Father
and gave ALL HIS Authority to Him,Whom He,The Father Sent to Earth to Understand For Himself,the trials of man,to taste ‘death’,….and also to save sinners, to be The Light for those in ‘darkness’,..to give us hope, even though we might die,..in a future time, because He has The Power to raise the dead,.and ..That He,..Will Judge.
We must,FIRMLY build on the realization,that we Must!.and can only Worship The Father,Who is A ‘SPIRIT’,..with our spirit!…AND that can ONLY be done,by humbling our hearts,minds and spirits,before His Son,..accepting That He is Our Saviour,Our King, and Our Wonderful Gentle Loving Teacher,..whom we can One on one communicate Through The Awesome Holy Spirit !…which make The Father and Him as One,..hence His Words,Me and My Father are One, and Who Hath Seen Me Hath Seen The Father,..meaning ..His Words ..Actions and Ways,..and After Resurrection,..His Glorious Heavenly Radiance!
Fellowship..with brothers and sisters,..hmmmm,..
.as far as i can understand from Scripture,..dosent mean my sibling brothers and sisters,(unfortunately and sadly),and in general my human ‘brothers and sisters’..to me it means ‘my brothers and sisters’ on the Spiritual path,that share the basics of my first comments above and at least some others, or have that ‘love for The Truth’ and make NO exceptions or Variations of It!
Matthew 18,…. v 19 and v 20 need to be divided properly,..v 19 the 2, have! to be in agreement!..in ..The One Truth
this is where alot of division comes especially about those of slightly different,..beliefs/ on top of Cornerstone beliefs,..what i mean is eg: the differing in mainstream christian ‘churches’,..which mix their belief with blatant non scriptural pagan,..with those who have understood the message, of ‘ Come Out ‘ and ‘Be separate’ My People!
this is where it gets very interesting,….and maybe a test or the test !….of what we do with our talents and ..yes its wonderful to share The Truth with ‘spiritual brothers and sisters’ even if it is across the ‘world’ or in our personal lives,or in whatever way the Holy Spirit brings us together to ‘trade’.and .where we can share and confirm and strengthen our Faith!
and the ‘brother’ or ‘sister’ Paul Speaks of in Corin 5 is meant ONLY as a spiritual,same belief ‘brother or sister’…….spiritual brothers and sisters have no place with spiritual brothers or sisters that say they are, that also take part in idol worship/sexually-immoral/drunkards or liars!
certainly not ,lost/non believing fellow humans or indeed blood brothers or sisters stuck in the ‘darkness’ of the veil of lies,and sway the this “world” is under of the ‘evil one’
in fact we as True Believers in The Total Example of Our Teacher,Who Came for ‘The Lost Sheep’.. and sinners from everywhere and anywhere ..should be a light as best we can, to the best of our abilities,…i can understand how the Angels in Heaven Rejoice!,..when they know of a sinner or ‘lost sheep’ that comes back at the hearing of The Shepherds ‘Voice’….and we should sow the ‘seeds’ where ever we go or whenever we can!
whether we like it or not,accept it or not,…there are those amongst us,fellow humans,maybe even,birth brothers and sisters,family and so called friends,..who happily and even openly or secretly trade in the evil ones ‘world’,.. that have no love for Our Heavenly Father, or His Son!
i stay away from those!!!!!!!..and cease trading immediately they become known by their words and actions!
Now!..theres another ‘Brother and Sister’,.Spoke off, in Hebrews 2.
Proverbs 30 v 4,..asks a very very serious Question,..What is HIS NAME,..and What is His Son’s Name!
in the latin/greek The Son is Known in Scripture,as Jesus Christ The Messiah, Son of The Almighty God,..as in most Bibles
..or as my personal preference, in The Original Hebrew,..Yahuwshwah Ha’Machiach,…The ‘Voice’ in The Burning Bush, The Rock that Personally
led The Israelites, That appeared Face to face with most the patriach fathers, King David and a few times with Solomon!
Now, this is for those with an ear!!,..to be a Brother to Him,..you first become a ‘vessel’ then a ‘servant’ then a ‘friend’ then a ‘Brother’

Hi Brian – how true we must be spirit and a spirit that is of God to be united to God. If we are professing Him with our mouths yet continuing to willing trade with the kingdom of darkness, then our prayers fall on deaf ears.
Psalm 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.
People pray and wonder why they get no relief, they haven’t been following what God has asked of them in that still small voice but continue on their own paths (sin).
God has told us to know Him, if people aren’t spending time seeking to know Him as He is and His truth in the Word being taught by the Holy Spirit, then they are trading with the kingdom of darkness. Now is the time to be honest for the works of our hands are manifesting like never before, and if we’ve been building works of darkness, then great tribulation is in store for us. May prayer is that people read, seek, turn (repent) and delight in God’s truth.

Hi Rachel,
Indeed it is the Spirit that teaches us all things and bear witness. When two or more people are gathered in that Spirit it’s a strange feeling really.
The first time I came across one of your videos and started listening to you, you sounded just like me. I felt like you were me in another body. I was in awe after i watched and listened to more of your videos. i then started reading some of your writings and i said to my self, “wow, she is me”.
I am not very good in expressing myself verbally but you have that gift Rachel. After I watched more of your videos and replayed them over and over again to understand fully your messages(coz English is not my first language), i literally prayed in thanks that there was a person out there that takes the words right out of my mouth. Ever since, not a day went by that I wouldn’t listen to atleast one of your messages in your videos.
I am certain that if you and i meet someday, God willing, that you will see what I mean. You will sense that oneness we have in Spirit in an instant.
To me, that is THE fellowship.
Although it saddens me that many brethren within the IC may not yet have that intimacy with God, we should pray for them Rachel. Although you are in America and I am in Hong Kong, I’ll pray with you on the subject.
Oh what a joy it would be to have a brother/sister at a time getting intimate with God.
That’ll be THE fellowship. 🙂

Hi Mr Paul – truth is truth … when we know it and another speaks it, it is a clear connection as you say and a powerful one. And how important it is to pray for others to cultivate intimacy with God and start moving into the truth as well, and how powerful to pray that in agreement. 🙂
