1 Peter 1:6-7 “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ”
Contemplating the oneness of Truth while guided by the Voice of Truth produces the evolution or maturation of the soul, spirit and mind, so reality can begin to reflect Truth's immutable, divine attributes, which manifest the highest good for all. This blog reflects an ever-deepening understanding of the Truth a soul gains as its mind is renewed by Truth's pure Light.

God allows bad things to happen to give us an opportunity to trust Him.
When bad things happen we should always praise Him. We’re not doing so because bad things happen, but because He is still in control regardless how bad the situation is.
When we praise Him we open a channel for Him to do good in our lives and that of others.

Great post – I love the use of videos – your devotional was inspiring – God loves us. Bad things do happen to good people and it’s a wonderful opportunity glorify God thru the trials.
James 1:2-3 Consider it pure joy – when you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.

Great Stuff. Love the topic. I have been allowing God to speak to my heart for the last eight months because of the way some things unraveled at the church I was recently at. One of the things God revealed to me includes what you have shared as well as another reality – there is an enemy who battles against us as well. Recently I was lead to Daniel 10 because I was wondering why God was taking so long and if God even heard my prayer. Daniel had received a vision and then prayed for wisdom to understand the vision. For 24 days Daniel waited for the answer. Finally a messenger arrived and it was his comments to Daniel that helped my realize that sometimes bad things happen because there is also an enemy engaged in a battle against us. The messenger said, “Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before God, your words were heard and I have come in response to them. BUT the prince of the Persian kingdom RESISTED me these past twenty-one days.
I love that passage in Daniel – because it gives us a peek into the spiritual world as to what is going on. It encourages me to persist in my prayers and seeking God’s guidance. Thanks for bringing it up. It was a great reminder.
