Defeating Illness
3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
It’s quite straightforward really …
Fear = disease Love = health
Every time you act in true pure love, you heal. When you act in fear, you proliferate disease.
Many are suffering in the afflictions of illnesses and sicknesses. Healing springs forth when a transformation occurs within. Whatever is the state of your heart; so your life will be. When you think, speak and act out of the pure love of God, then all you are and all around you prospers in blessing, peace, rest, beauty, and loving kindness. When you think, speak or act from any other motive, then you and all around you deteriorates in suffering, illness, hardships, sorrows, and pains. This truth has been given to us from the beginning, yet it’s manifesting more powerfully in these days as truth increases. Proverbs 4:23, Luke 6:45
Deuteronomy 28:2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God:
The key to vitality is for your truth to be God’s truth. The truth of God is true love and God’s love is the truth. Mark 12:30-31, 1 Timothy 1:5
Whatever your truth, it manifests itself in your life and surroundings. If you are bound in lies that create fear and its subparts: anxiousness, worry, guilt, blame, and anger, then in your life you create what you hate (all the negative outcomes including illness). In seeking and following after THE Truth/love; all that you hate is removed because the sources of it, the lies, are replaced by Truth.
If you are facing sickness and illness; become aware of God’s wisdom speaking to you from within; where He speaks intimately with YOU. No one can listen and find the answers for you. Only the spirit of God can search your soul and reveal your lies that you hold as truth; lies that are destroying you. Others can only confirm what you have heard. Ask for His wisdom regarding your circumstances. Desire to come into HIS truth and have all that isn’t of Him purged from your life. And be aware of the great manipulator; hypocritical love. It can be difficult to see. Romans 12:9
James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
As you listen and obey, health will start to fill your soul and body transforming you, inward out.
When a thought or situation arises that causes you to respond in fear, chose to trust in the love of God. When you trust Him in the midst of a situation, (thus you feel a deep letting go and peace), you infuse His power into your circumstance and the outcomes are full of His perfect grace and love. This display of power is also how you know you are trusting the true God. When you truly trust THE GOD, you see His power. Psalm 34:10
When you feel pain within your body; seek God’s counsel to understand its source. Be aware of the acts or thoughts His Spirit within you brings to mind for you to stop and which new ones to embrace. It may be these incorrect thoughts/acts are manifesting the pain or illness. When you obey God and walk according to His perfect love; your obedience creates peace and power in your life across many dimensions.
God has given you all you need for what you seek; His spirit of wisdom/love which longs to commune and be united to your soul.
John 7:38 “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

Thank you Rachel for obeying His lead in posting this.
Think it’s equally important to point out. That not all health issues stem from lack of faith/trust in God, or obedience. Even Christ was described as sickly. See Isaiah. We live in a fallen world, where all things are moving towards destruction and deterioration. Except, the Light of God. We may be not optimally healthy…but that is not Gods “temperature gage” to our sincerity in Him. When we are sick, we must like Job, say “this is from the Lord, His hand is as sure in my weakness as it is in my strength, I will speak of His greatness and trust in His method, though it seem to me a darkness, yea it shall be a. Light!”
The gist of this post is needed and so true. Too much dependence is placed on pharmaceutical and man’s scientific answers to health. Too much emphasis is placed on our bodies and health and appearances. You put this so well, and I am grateful someone has been listening to the Spirit and following His lead to explain His mercy and truth here!
Please forgive me for the add-on…its not to say, dear Sis, your message was lacking. I just know, too many people that see good physical health = Gods blessing. Its not that physical health that counts in His Kingdom ( though it matters to Him more than we can fathom), it is as Rachel points out, the health of the heart that is at the center of God’s powerful intervention!

Hi, Thanks for the comment … yes except in His light! Which is starting to fill this barren earth to renew it into the kingdom of heaven!
Do you believe there will be sickness/illness in heaven as you believe it to be? No. And the kingdom of heaven is at hand .. as it is being established in this earth. People who are seeking God in spirit and truth are slowly moving (only way you truly can) into the kingdom of heaven, which is starting as a mustard seed and will eventually expand to fill the earth. They are being filled with the light of God, Christ’s spirit, truth, and their lives are transforming. All that isn’t of God’s light (truth) will be destroyed and replaced with all that is of Him. This world will transition into His glorious kingdom. That transition is upon us, and as we embrace that transition in faith based on truth, the end of sickness and death will follow.
The time is now … when Christ, the truth, is establishing His kingdom in righteousness. His kingdom which starts in our souls and grows outwards in righteous love in which there is no death. Prov 12:28 It’s a beautiful and amazing truth. Embrace the kingdom that is at hand. Many don’t see it. Many don’t know it’s power. But for those who do … their life is transforming in glorious ways. But in time, the rest will see.
As for Job … read the last chapter.

Hello Rachel, I am unsure if you were asking me specifically the questions in your reply or addressing anyone who may be reading? The confusion comes from the fact that you addressed issues I didn’t mention…and did not reply as if you understood my comments?
No I don’t believe sickness will be or IS in the kingdom of heaven. This was nowhere implied in my comments. I believe however, that scripture states that the Kingdom of God is being built WITHIN the hearts of His children, not the earth. This world is passing away.
My point was to give emphasis to the “if you truly believe and trust you will never have sickness” movement which is false.I don’t, however, think that you were saying that in your post, but I know many who could “read” that into it and was prompted to clarify. Using Job as an example, he did get sick, God did give the go ahead to the enemy to afflict Job, but Job was not afflicted because he was UNtrusting or UNtrue to God, but rather because he WAS. YES, God restored his health, but not because Job became “a better little boy” if you will.
There IS a lie of the enemy that seeks to deceive God’s children that says, “if you do this just right and believe then you will always be: happy, healthy, wealthy, and wise.” Eric Liddel, the Olympian, died of illness in the camps in China, not because of lack of true faith/trust in God! Corrie ten Boom’s sister Bessie died of illness in a Nazi camp, but believe me she is in heaven with Jesus, as is Eric, and MANY others who died of sickness/illness. They ARE most definitely NOT sick anymore, and I will go so far as to say, they were not sick before they died where it counted- the heart, soul :-). The Kingdom of God is/was WITHIN them, thats where they lived, where they STILL live. The same is true for all God’s children. I may get sick, but I am not sick at heart, Jesus lives there, therefore even if I am afflicted in this flesh, which is decaying and dying everyday, I am daily being renewed and alive in Christ.
This was my point. This is what I believe, this is what God’s word says.

Hi … sorry for any confusion … I posted a video just after this post that explains what I’m talking about so thanks for your comments they led me to do the video for further explanation 🙂 … some glorious truths! The kingdom of heaven comes to earth. The earth is renewed by the righteous/love reign of Christ through His people, who are His body. As people are established on a foundation of righteousness and love and no longer fear .. the true born again and rebirth.. that changes and renews this earth. So the kingdom starts within and as you grow and operate in righteousness and love by the power of Christ’s spirit in you … it changes the world around you. 🙂 I’m already seeing this happen in lives around me.
Isaiah 60:12 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
Romans 8:20-21 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
The Kingdom of heaven starts as a mustard seed here … but once it starts it continues to grow until it fills the earth and all the works of evil and wickedness are destroyed. That mustard seed is starting to sprout.
Matthew 6:10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

God doesn’t see things as they are, He sees them like he wants them to be.

We are created in His image, yet we spend a lifetime creating our own. I believe that is one of the many reasons that God takes us by the hand and leads us into the wilderness. The wilderness is a scary and often lonely place to be, however, a metamorphosis occurs when we meet with God there. We experience the power of His love and emerge as a Bride leaning on Him alone with a new image – the image of Jesus.

Hi .. I agree the wilderness is a tough place, but it is where you want to go as God reveals your need and weakness there … you realize how truly ppoor in spirit you are. That awareness brings you to the point of forsaking all that isn’t of Him because you see it for what it is – death. Matthew 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Yes. However I don’t think in terms of death, and I perceive it as a great mistake to center in on the use of
that terminology. Death is obviously an enemy, but as Children of light I think you will find it more appropriate to center your conversation around the good you see in people and in the world that are- a reflection of God’s glory here. What you see and comment on can many times be a reflection of an emotionally bad day. Everything you see in dark colors isn’t bad. A stormy cloudy day isn’t death because it’s in blues and grays. Try viewing it as an artist, rather than as an art critic, and I think you will understand what I am saying.
In other words, don’t see it for what it is, see it in God.

I can speak from experience with a loved one in our family. Her lifetime of lies and negative and hateful attitude, firmly believe has corrupted her mind with Dementia. You can’t go through life like that without it affect you spiritual and physically. I also understand things also just happen, there no rhyme or reason. I also don’t think we can project a positive attitude to increase are position in life. To much of that mysticism has infiltrated the church with that sort of doctrine to increase their pocket books rather than other believers lives.

Hi Mike, you make a good point .. faith has become this mystical ointment that people try to pour over their lives, like positive thinking with nothing (no truth) behind it.
True faith is built on truth .. thus faith comes by hearing the word. Romans 10:17 When you know the truth … then you can believe in it, thus have faith. It is the truth that renews your mind. When your mind is renewed it changes your thoughts and actions .. obviously.
To think we don’t reap what we sow is to mock the wisdom and truth of God. Gal 6:7 Yes, His mercy is there. But He doesn’t want us to stay in harmful habits that hurt ourselves and others, no good father would. He wants us to have the truth .. that truth sets us free. And in the end days, that mercy will begin to “lift” to reveal our actions/beliefs for what they truly are by what they manifest.
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

(NKJV) 1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness — by whose stripes you were healed.
Actually, by the above scripture you will notice that healing is part of our covenant rights in Christ. (His stripes refer to beatings)
From my experience, healing is received by Faith and confession (or agreement) with those rights.
Your agreement, must be by Faith apart from yourself- in Him, but also your will and attitude are
involved, as you praise him for it. So there are different elements of your being that can be involved
as you receive your healing. But it’s not only your mind, or soul that is involved, you can receive
the same results by your Faith in Jesus provision. Hope this helps someone.

Hi .. Yes it is all faith. Faith in the truth. We all have faith in something every moment of our lives .. but is it in the truth? When your beliefs change it changes your life. There is nothing we can do or overcome without His power working in and through us. Freedom without truth isn’t possible. It’s the truth that sets us free … our faith is built on the truth; that is what faith in God (truth) is. I’ve found much healing comes from fundamentally believing in God’s love for me. When you truly believe this is extinquishes fears, you hold a new perspective … and these things are reflected in your body and in your world.
Matthew 9:29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”

Healing actually comes from the Holy Spirit.You can receive healing from ‘one’ scripture that is ‘one’ truth that you believe. But, it is the Holy Spirit who heals you. It will never be because of a reservoir of ‘goodness’
within yourself. The healing comes from God.

I think we are understanding on another where the sickness and illness are concerned.
My only concern is this concept of the earth being restored to righteousness. I will pray and seek the Spirits counsel on your point of view to be certain. Yet, at this time I cannot read 2Peter 3, or Revelations and see anything anywhere in His Word that speaks to your view. As I have understood it, this earth and its passions and desires are on the way out. The preparation is being done inside where He is building His Kingdom ( on earth as it is in heaven) for a NEW earth…new is something not known before.
As I said I will pray and seek His change of my perspective though 🙂

Hi … the world of all the wickedness/evil will go away, perish as Christ sets up His kingdom in righteousness … the impact of having life here will be HUGE. We’ve only experienced this eath in the midst of death .. it certainly will be new; and that newness comes by transformation as righteousness and love are established as it’s foundation. Yes, seek truth from God .. always.

Buttrflygrl14 I agree with Racheal here you are looking for a scripture to verify it is Numbers 14: 21 But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD. The lord god himself declared that to Moses.Gods kingdom is not a physical kingdom but as we operate in that kingdom of righteousness it does have an effect on the physical earth just the same way sin has an effect on the physical earth.
Before we see that glory gross darkness will cover the earth as satan pours out his wrath because he knows his time is short, Gods elect will rejoice because we know evening and morning brings a new day a new age,a new Jarusalem, a new heaven and a new earth.
