Are you saying that because I am not a Christian, and my husband is Agnostic that our love is invalid? I’m not buying it. I’m also not buying that I belong to god, or anyone, I don’t need to believe in a fairy tale to feel validated, so I am very confused by that statement. Besides, if god wanted us to only love and be with one person he wouldn’t have given us free will, if he had some sort of matchmaking service with a plan behind it we wouldn’t be able to choose anyone we want, or fall out of love. Right?!
Hi … The love of this world without God is tainted by our brokenness … as you come to know God and come in line with His truth and His Spirit .. that the love you have transforms, is purified … becomes far greater than you could have imagined thus brings great healing because of the truth infused into it. There is so much more there for us that the lies of this world has hidden and stripped away. When you seek God, you find truth for He is truth and real wisdom … imagine thinking and acting in truth and wisdom… it changes everything ..and in connecting with God a love and power that is very real floods your life … a reality that is undeniable.
I do agree that we as humans are capable of much more than we think we are. But I don’t see how believing in god would make my love for my husband any stronger, or different in any way, and don’t see how it would make my love for the world around me/the universe any stronger. And I do think and act in truth and wisdom, that’s all I’ve ever done, so, hmm.. I guess this is one of those things I’m just never going to understand.
God is truth and love. As we learn about Him and from Him, we grow in these areas. This world is full of lies … things that we believe and act on that cause pain. When we move out of the lies and into the truth it affects everything and especially love. True love is righteous. It’s doing the best thing for everyone all the time .. this type of love is only found and lived in by the power of God, who knows all.

You are trying to solve a big problem & I can relate to that, but we cannot do that with just telling “couple of things” , even if is true.
The main thing is that only Jesus is the third person that can unite the man & woman in marriage. He is the cosmic glue that holds together the whole creation & He can holds the two in marriage.
Without Him we will be like two parallel lines that will never intersect each other. Only in Him we ca meet & unite in Him! Eclesiastes 4:12 is helpful.
Hi .. and He has given up Himself, so that He can dwell in the souls of many … this is the only way to righteous love. When He is in us we walk in righteousness.
