Living with Purpose and Meaning

Living with Purpose and Meaning

Living with purpose and meaning is something we all desire; it’s a desire implanted us by God. In the video below, I talk about three different perspectives to consider in relation to fulfilling our purpose as God desires. I hope it’s an encouragement to you.

My passion is cultivating a deep relationship with God and helping others to do the same. I LOVE sharing with others insights that God has taught me and hearing what God has taught them... thus my blog, Stirring the Deep. My focus is on a relationship, not a religion. Life is in the relationship. I believe in a balance and unity of body, mind and spirit. I feel it's important to nurture all three for they all affect each other. I try to live in the present, where the Holy Spirit is. And I try to do all with the motive of love. I've come to believe life is a journey and not a destination. It isn't about perfection, is it about growth.

  1. Loved these thoughts Rachel. I have been working on accepting that my purpose is being fulfilled in the place God has me. Sometimes that’s a hard pill to swallow when the place you are is not the place you would choose. The temptation to think “If I can just get there…then God can use me.” is really strong. Thanks for the encouragement to bloom where I am planted!

    • Hi Jelillie – this is a tough area for many of us. God does give us certain desires to motivate and direct us, but He is the one to direct our steps to them – so we have to trust HOW He is directing us – because it is usually what we wouldn’t choose. It becomes apparent that His ways aren’t our ways 🙂 Awhile ago, God told me that the preparation of the leader is the most important part — yet it’s the one phase, sometimes a long one, we often want to by-pass. God’s ways and timing are perfect. If we stay connected to Him seeking His will, I think we can trust we are where we are suppose to be.

  2. Hi Rachel,
It’s so refreshing to see a beautiful lady like you to teach the deep truth of God’s word. I wonder if you’re married, have children or like Rachel from Old Testament you’re childless.
    Keep up the good work
    your brother in Christ
