I have a granddaughter who tells me she instantly looks away so she doesn’t have to see something offensive. If only we would be of childlike guidance and let the Lord prompt us to turn away and be holy as he is holy. The eyes can be used by the enemy to weaken us in our faith. WHAT DO WE WATCH ON TELEVISION? And how long do we watch tv? I am so convinced that watching television has become a god to so many of us. That is why Jesus said, “If your right eyes causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away” Matt. 5:29. I think he was looking into the future and giving us this warning. We don’t need to take out our eye…. just need to take out those things in our lives that don’t bring glory to God.
